Tommy Brooks is one of the best in the business, he is an all-rounder like roach. like roach he is also a pupil of the late great eddie futch and son in law of legendary manager/trainer lou duva, he trained mike tyson during his second best run at heavyweight until he walked because he gave tyson an ultimatum, his entourage/crew or brooks, tyson obviously picked his crew. trained evander holyfield during his prime until after the tyson fights to go train tyson. trained meldrick taylor from the start trained wlad klitschko for a few fights before manny steward trained vasily jirov, larry donald, rocky lockbridge, junior jones, yuri foreman a few fights before the cotto one, shaun george. recently brooks hasn't been very active and took some time off boxing.
Thanks for filling me in Relentless. I must have seen Tommy in corners before but never taken it in. It sounds like Tommys seen it all and looks like Jefferies has made a good choice just as long as they click I suppose.:good
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaLp05uyVMI&feature=player_embedded[/ame] Roberto grandpa Garcia trained: fernando vargas Joan Guzman Brian Viloria Victor Ortiz Brendan Rios nonito donaire (1 or 2 fights only though) Steven Luevano Antonio Margarito (since his return) he teaches the boxer puncher style similar to nacho.
How about Dan Birmingham Relentless? Don't see much of him now, think he had Korobov for his first few fights.
Birmingham also a great trainer, won trainer of the year trained andre berto, chad dawson, winky wright and jeff lacy currently he is focusing on his amateur team or thats what i last heard 2-3 months back.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQA0ZvcbOcI[/ame] Bill Miller trained james toney from the start and was assistant of eddie futch from when futch began training fighters.
Fritz Sdunek is probably the best in europe trained... the klitschko brothers mohammed abdulaev sinan samil sam dariusz michaelski (SP?) juan carlos gomez denis boystov and quiet a few others, not too familiar with his training methods though, guessing the boxer-puncher style.
He also trains Felix Sturm at present too. I can see a great change in Felixs conditioning in his last fight against Lorenzo.
Interesting stuff the gym seems pretty relaxed. I'd like to know some things they are working on in preparation for Manny.
