If Tito had beat Hopkins & went up to meet Jones, how would that fight have gone?

Trinidad was planning on going up in weight again to face Jones if he was succesful against Hopkins. I believe they wanted to meet at around 168lbs. And yes, I know Jones would have kicked, beat, embarass, and humiliate Tito's ass much much worse than in their actual fight couple of years ago. But I'm interested in knowing how you think that fight would have gone.

Also, what if Tito would have beat Hopkins AND Jones, and then retired? How would you have ranked him?

Jones would have wooped tito by a late stoppage or a very clear UD.

His legacy if he did beat jones and hopkins especially by ko and also if hopkins had still fought and beat the same fighters he did after tito would have been astronomical.

best pr fighter of all time.

Well to beat hopkins he would have had to have been much better and stronger...so would he also be much better and stronger then his actual self for this hypothetical match up?

As it is...any version of Jones is better then any version of Trinadad.

Had Trinidad beat B-Hop no doubt about it, A rematch with De La Hoya would have been next.
As far as Roy, too big for Felix then and always.

It would have gone exactly the same way it did when they actually did meet.... except maybe Jones KO's him

Up until Tito's defeat to BHOP we were looking at our generation's Roberto Duran....Moving up and ****ing up CHAMPIONS in his debut at the weight class.... (Joppy, David Reid)

The reason that Manny and Tito (along with Erik Morales) are my favorite fighters of this era because they actually move UP and fight the best fighters almost picking on more than they can chew.

He would NEVER have beaten Roy, Roy probably KO's him late. They were gonna fight at 168lbs, and Roy was PUMPED for this potential fight.

A better question is what IF Tito stayed at 147/154 lbs.................I don't think he would have lost..........

He's still a top 60-80 fighter of ALL TIME

the thing I hated about Tito was that every time he lost, he would quit and retire.

Tito is a top 25 ATG in my book. If he had beat Hopkins and Jones soon after he could have retired as a top 5 ATG! Had he stayed @ 147/154 and stayed undefeted, he may be a top 15 ATG.

He was "almost" Mayweather-like in that he "LIVED" for the "0" and for his people..........It's like once he lost, he couldn't cope, fight his way back up, he was ALL about the big fights and his biggest fight (besides DLH) was a TERRIBLE matchup stylewise, so he took his ball and ran:verysad:verysad

I wouldn't say Top 25 right now, but IF Tito had pulled that off he would have had the following scalps in succession. He was really trying to do big things and retire the GREATEST..Didn't work out, but those were some great memories.....

    Oba Carr (undefeated)
    Pernell Whitaker (champion) - ATG
    Oscar DLH (champion) - ATG
    David Reid (champion)
    Fernando Vargas (champion)
    William Joppy (champion)
    Bernard Hopkins (champion) - ATG
    Roy Jones (champion) - ATG
