If Pac beats Marg, will you prefer his 130+under or his 135+over resume?

If Pacquiao beats Margarito, that would leave his top 5 wins at 135lbs or higher as:

    - Cotto (welterweight, 2009)
    - Margarito (lightmiddleweight, 2010)
    - Hatton (lightwelterweight, 2009)
    - Oscar (welterweight, 2008)
    - Clottey (welterweight, 2010)

And his top 5 wins at 130lbs or under is, imo:

    - Barrera 1 (featherweight, 2003)
    - Marquez 2 (superfeatherweight, 2008)
    - Morales 2 (superfeatherweight, 2006)
    - Sasakul (flyweight, 1998)
    - Ledwaba (superbantamweight, 2001)

Which would be the better 'top 5'? :bbb

I'd have to think about this one.
(Cotto & Margarito would look real strong next to eachother on the resume)

Then you have Erik & Marco...

Erik & Marco are ATG's, throw in JMM, throw in that he beat them 5x. Its a no contest.

If Pac is to beat Floyd then it will be closer.

    Are you ****ing kidding me?

Fighting at the higher weights meant Pac risked getting brutally KO'd/permanently damaged. Yet he destroyed and retired Oscar, caused a rip in the fabric of time when he punched Hatton into the next dimension, stopped a power-punching bruiser in Cotto, and made Clottey clam up for 12 rounds. All of these guys are elite fighters, and are greater wins imo.

I'm not talking away from his achievements in the lower weights, but come on, it's not even a contest.

The leap in weight to beat some of the top guys 135+ makes it more impressive even with the ATG fighters below 135. 135+ vote from me.

Below 140, Pac was a beast. There are zero questions about his accomplishments at that level.

Barrera and Morales alone were better and harder challenges than any of his bouts including and since the De La Hoya bout. Pacquiao has had a great speed advantage over everyone since he has moved up.

i think 135+ i feel that for all the hype he was quite inconsistant in featherweight also i think marco and erik are better than cotto marg by alot but i feel if pac beats margo then hes beaten 2 in better condition cause lets face it morales was past it when pac got to him and the fight with barrera was hugely at a bad time for marco

but at the end of the day you can only beat whats in front of you

If Marg hasnt faded or lost momentum that will be a big win no matter what you think of the guy, 150lbs could not be a better weight for Margo to be at IMO.

The higher weights has more glam, hence why he is more famous now, specially after beating DLH. From a historical pov though, had he stayed at 130, beat another 2 champs who were considered top fighters and then goes on to beat another 3 ATG's combined 5 times, historically he would be rated even higher than he is now.

What he did at the lower weights would be comparable to him going to LW, beating Juan Diaz, go to JWW, beating Alexander, go to WW and beat Mosley near his prime ie 10 years ago, ODLH slightly past it and a close fight with Tito in his prime.
