Mendy still has TBA as his opponent for this weekend. He does not have the '0' to risk. The chance of a Commonwealth title is not something to be sniffed at. Presumably he was in shape being only 1 week away from a fight. Why did he not take up the chance?
he has moved to Middleweight plus he has a name now he can build a career. Why take a fight now he would probably lose.
He's only 19, he doesn't need to take a fight like this at two weeks notice. Now that he has some recognition he can build his career up. No need to take high risk fights at short notice.
