Chagaev never voluntarily vacated the WBA belt like Sanders did. Chagaev never agreed to losing the belt, he never was asked if he prefers to defend his belt. It was "taken" from him by Don King & his buddies at the WBA. Quite clever really, another coup by good ole' Don.

 

chagaev had butt aids, he deserved to be stripped.

Haye got knock down sparring last week, took a right hand and touched down.. Harrison found out and is loving it, the banter has been on sky t.v today. On paper Haye wins but i got a feeling there maybe a upset coming..

Valuev never had it. Chagaev was the real belt holder. Valuev forfeited the fight to Chagaev in '09 by using lame excuse to duck him. Then don king & co pulled some strings and WBA gave belt to Valuev.

Chagaev wasn't the real belt holder anyway as he didn't beat Roy Jones.

Same as WALDO can never be the real WBO champion as he lost to Sanders. And Brewster. And Purrity.

why is wlad walking around with vitali's wbo belt? and lewis's ibf belt?

the truth is, none of the champs are linear. none beat the true champion of the belt.

if we use this criteria on haye, we must also use it on wladimir.

remember wlad lost his wbo belt to sanders, sanders then lost to vitali, wlad never fought vitali.

the ibf got stripped off lewis, wlad never beat lewis.

even vitali isnt really a linear champ.

 

Actually, the WBA belt belongs to Lennox Lewis.

He was STRIPPED of it for not fighting Ruiz. He didn't duck Ruiz, just offered to push it back a few weeks so he could fight Grant first, then Ruiz.

WBA stripped Lewis rather than let than happen, thanks to their mate Don King.


So really, the WBA is Lennox's.

So is the IBF as well (Wlads other belt), as that's how it became available for Byrd - who Wlad beat. Wlad didn't beat the IBF champ, he beat Byrd who was only a paper champ holding Lewis' title.
