Adamek has much wider variety of punches. He likes to go both to the body and to the head and has 2 very fit and accurate hands. Haye on the other hand, keeps his hands low (what looks like RJJ, but it does work much worse - he is much more hittable than Roy was ). Haye is a counter-puncher. He keeps his hands low and provoke the opponent, so he can use his right hand. Maybe he looks high-skilled against slow ageing fighters he fought. Summing up: Haye - better upper body balance and head movement Haye - more power Adamek - bigger variety on punches Adamek - higher workrate Footwork and speed is hard to judge. Lets say its even. If they ever fought, Haye would have to score 2-3 knockdowns, when he wants to win a decision. Its hard to outbox a guy who throws much more punches and throws in combinations. He can work with his head and body to avoid these punches, but he will not avoid them all and Haye has too low workrate to land as much as he received (against a boxer with Adamek's workrate).
I cant stand these ignorants who write that Adamek is a small HW and Haye is a big HW. They are both small HWs by today's standards. Haye is slightly bigger (3-5 pounds, 1-2 inches), but its not the lightweight and 3 or 5 pounds dont make any difference here.
i think it would be a good fight but i think haye wins mid to late tko after tomasz taking alot of shots
Adamek is not smaller than Haye. Their weights are just about smack even, and Tomasz stood eye to eye with a 6'-3" Arreola.
Adamek is the better boxer but Haye is too big and hits too hard for Adamek. Tomasz is not a real HW, he reminds me of Michael Spinks, it's just a matter of time before he gets blown out by a true HW.
I like Tomasz not only as a skilled and athletic boxer but also his character in and outside the ring. I have seen more Adamek fights than Haye fights but what I noticed is Tomasz has no fear, a good chin, good ring IQ and lots of heart. He can move in, punch his opponent in the nose 3-4 times, and withdraw. Haye can be explosive but tends to gas. When plan A fails, I'm not sure he has a plan B. Frankly, I thought Haye could have/should have done more against Valuev.
