Is 24/7 blowing this out of proportion?

jUST LOOK at how they're sparring. You don't even have to be an emmanuel fan to see that he doesn't fight like that.

its far from hype. all of his out of training activities are all covered by media, its not all talk. this is an upset waiting to happen. Marg has the better chin.

what Pac is doing now is the very definition of a part-time fighter.

this is a 20+ mins for a whole week on a camp...
ever wonder what happened on the rest of the time not being shown in the 24/7?
it's big ass (24 x 60 x 7)10K mins per week pac could be training like a monster as he always does
or knocking out sparring partners behind closed doors....

distraction is always been an issue on Pac camp.. but Pac-monster is always in the ring come fight night.. :good

i dont think travelling fron one city to another, one state to one is scripted. if it is indeed scripted, whoever wrote that one should be fired. Pac could always hand out anything or do whatever blocks away from camp, but miles away is too much just to look distracted.

24/7 almost made me believe Marquez was a solid WW without ever proving it.

I think the distractions from pacs camp are bogus, contrived, and scripted.

But that doesn't change the fact that tony is taking him seriously and is training hard, something I doubt he did for Mosley, thinking, hey, this old guy lost to Cotto.

Pac will still come ready. But Tony probably will too, and he is pretty good on top of his game, against Cintron twice, even the Williams fight late, and Cotto. Don't know if its enough, but he has a whole lot of advantages physically to wear Pac out a bit as they fight.

    Well said :happy

It is in the interests of HBO to make it seem a real competition. No doubting Margarito looks in good shape; but undoubtedly Pac will be too, albeit when the camera's aren't rolling. I still think Pac will be too much for Magarito.

Welcome to the world of marketing.

If something was seriously wrong in Pac's camp, there is no way the head trainer would be running his mouth about all the problems. It doesn't really make sense to reveal all your disadvantages to the opponent if there wasn't an over-arching plan. HBO will find an angle and exploit it. Roach has been in the system long enough to work it too his advantage.

The "first round" begins with the mind-games during the leadup, not when the bell first rings...

Im sure some of the issues are real but im getting sick of Pacquiaos 24/7's. Its the same ****ing story every time, oh Pac is distracted, he isnt training hard, oh heres some footage of Pac getting his ass handed to him in sparring.....then Pac comes in top form and annilates his opponets. I understand that 24/7 is really for making a mismatch seem like a real competeive fight for casual fans who dont know any better, but i dont think ill be watching too many more of Pacs and definitely Mayweathers 24/7's

You don't have to watch it - boxing fans got along fine before 24/7 was invented. In reality any form of boxing news (or anything from the media) you need to take with a grain of salt as there's always a chance the angle can be influenced from outside sources.

There's nothing wrong with being suspicious, but alot of people on this thread act like they've only just figured out TV stations potentially exaggerate a story to sell more? You don't exactly need a degree in mass communication to work that one out.

That said, I find it entertains me for 30 minutes so its doing its job.
