you cant tell what it is from a picture but your suggesting it was plaster paris which it really wasnt even tied down to that, all you have is a picture and a story from Brutha nazim....
The truth is the DA decided not to file charges thats the kind of evidence they have gotten back from the lab.
in other words what has happend after the lab results are not the actions of that taken against a man who was proven guilty, if they found plaster paris he would be in jail you know it and I know it, so stop acting like its plaster paris....
that stuff that is in the gauze can easily be gum from the tape bottom line... I wouldnt expect you to know cus your hands have never been wrapped, but the gum from the tape can leave traces on the gauze when its removed...

Its usually the guys who have never boxed or that have a vested personal and financial interest (like Oscar) that call the pads Plaster or concrete. Anyone who boxes knows that the damage would be extraordinary and not only to the opponent but even to the hands of the puncher. Lots of witnesses including Capetillo, Margarito, Mosley, Commission and court advisers testified that the pads were soft knuckle pads

Oh and they never found any plaster on the pads, just two ingredients and the slander got a foot hold

Actually the words that were used by those who felt them were that they were stiff but not hard, that you could actually bend them........

......last time I checked, Plaster sets hard and it is not bendable.:deal

Ah yes put something that does not bend in your boxing glove then slip your hand in behind it. Now go punch a punching bag as hard as you can.

Then call me in the morning:good

I'm not suggesting it was plaster, it was a white substance that obviously made the pads hard.
They didn't charge him because even if it was plaster, which we dont know what it was. They still had to prove he knew, which he is claiming he did not.

Doubtful, this isn't duct tape being used. Scotch tape or masking tape doesn't leave behind that much gum.

They would of found likely acrylic adhesive or something of that nature if it was just from tape.

But then you have to really ask yourself this.

So much build up from the gum of the tape... why were they even using that pad if it had tape on it before :patsch

That means you think they were using a taped knuckle pad in the past whether it be in training or other fights.

Knuckle pads are covered by gauze being wrapped around the hand, tape doesn't touch it.

There is no way that is the adhesive some from tape.

i think if it was legitimate plaster....the person would have a pretty big risk of breaking their hand during the fight...

In the article I'm providing, one of the California inspectors describes them......"
“It looked like it was sweat soaked,” Guevara told the Commission. “I wouldn’t say it was rock hard, but harder than it should be.”
.....then Guevara goes on to contradict himself somewhat by saying the knucklepad was not flexible.

Read the whole article Eze, the author of the article at the end of the article desribed exactly how the pads felt to him......

    <FONT size=3><FONT face="Times New Roman">
"One of the actual knuckle pads used by Capetillo on Margarito’s hands was on a table 10 feet away from me. I walked over to the table and asked the deputy district attorney Chappelle to feel the knuckle pad exhibit and object of the hearing. I felt the knuckle pad that was placed in a plastic zip wrap a good 15 seconds and realized that it felt soft. Maybe a little old and soft, but not hard as I expected. It felt like old gauze. One of the doctors told me that when it is moistened it would get harder. And that is why the Commission makes it illegal to wet hand wraps. "

......thats a direct quote from the writer of the article who felt the pads.....and there have been other journalist who've flet those pads that have described it very similar.
Have not read of one journalist who got to feel the wraps describe them as plaster hard.

you see what i mean...you would reach into my pants if it meant you were gonna discredit margo each and every time you get proved wrong........

just face it, everytime some light sheds on margo...you reach, reach, and reach to find the most ridiculous **** to say to make yourself look good.....but the CSAC did a good job in making everything you say look foolish....it's simple, IF IT WAS THAT SERIOUS MARGO OR CAPETILLO WOULD BE BEHIND BARS...ESPECIALLY CAPETILLO SINCE HE TOOK THE FULL BLAME FOR IT (WHICH IS ANOTHER FACT THAT YOU LOVE TO IGNORE).....

but since the whole world saw that kangaroo court hearing, they decided to just stick to their word and not renew him, but at the same time not take it any further either....cause they know in a real courtroom that **** will get laughed at the minute they admit to the fact that they let many people handle that pad as soon as they took it.....

I dunno but lets hope that something is done so **** like this dont happen..

I RECOGNIZE THE FIGHT IS HAPPENING AND THAT IS THAT...Its an awesome match up on the outside..VERY FAN FRIENDLY

BUT WHEN YOU START LOOKING INTO IT..AND YOU GOT A MAN WHO WAS CAUGHT TRYING TO USE (WETHER HE KNEW OR NOT IS IRRELEVANT AS A PROFESSIONAL) "AN ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE" INSIDE OF HIS GLOVE, AT A FIGHT THAT WAS OF THE HIGHEST LEVEL (2 TOP FIGHTERS, WITH GOOD NAMES THAT CAN SELL, TELEVISED ON HBO ON TOP OF THAT).

BUT AT THE SAME TIME LETS SEE WHAT BILLY RESTO'S PARENTS WOULD SAY ABOUT THE TEXAS STATE ATHLETIC COMMISSION GIVING A MAN WHO NEVER GOT OFF HIS SUSPENSION FOR GETTING CAUGHT TYRING TO USE AN ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE IN HIS GLOVE A LICENSE...
