i think that this fight is real bad matchup for ward, imo froch is the only guy who can beat ward. he would out dirt him and out slug him, but froch can lose to abraham

I have big hopes for Ward, and I think he'd be too crafty and versatile for the one dimensional Froch. It's a fight I'd love to see, though.

And yes I agree, stylistically Froch would probably be the hardest out of all the remaining combatants. But still, I can see Ward handling him pretty easily. That dude is an elite talent.

I'm a fan of both guys - more so Froch - but it's a bad match-up for him in my opinion, not Ward. I'd take Ward by a comfortable UD. He's better at all ranges for me and despite Froch's under-rated technical skill - there's a disparity in that and speed.

Froch has difficulty catching Dirrell, Ward can be as elusive but will also have enough offense to cleanly win the rounds. I couldn't see what Froch could do to win this one, Ward UD I think.

Ward is a dirtier, harder hitting and more elusive version of Dirrell.

Ward would make Froch look like a complete novice in there.

Froch isn't any better at the outslugging thing than Kessler.

Ward is way better at using speed than Taylor, if Taylor had Ward's stamina over 12, he would have beaten Froch.

Ward does not hit hard, in fact I'd probably say he throws with the least amount of power out of any left in the tournament, even if you include Dirrell.

And Ward beats Froch...probably similar to the way he beat Kessler.

I actually think Dirrell has a bit of pop in his punches. He managed to rock Froch, as well as knock down Abraham (even if he was a little off balance).

He certainly hits harder than Ward, in my opinion.

This is why the phrase styles make fights exists. Froch is so unorthodox (or undisciplined depending on your POV) that Ward wouldn't figure him out until the end. I still like Ward here, but there's no way he dominates. It might even be a squeaker that sees Ward kiss the canvas at least once. Dirrell lost that fight to Froch for the same reasons, well, that and he slipped a bunch of times to spoil what could have been a great fight (like against Stevens, Abraham, etc...). Honestly, I think Dirrell is right when he says he has neurological problems.

i see what your saying. Id love ward to tryhis dirty **** on froch. Carl wouldnt have any of it. It would be the hardest fight of wards career thus far. But ultimately i think he would take it

yeah i thought only that froch could give ward problems, because he is very akward and powerful and has underrated skills and he can allways make it a fight, and imo he would frustrate ward big time with his dirty tactics. ward is elite, i don't like him but he has big talent, but i think that dirrell has more talent, but no heart and no mentality. AA has a punchers chance in every fight, especially ward likes to fight on the inside, and that would be not very clever against AA. And Ward has for real no power at all

Abraham could kill with that punch of his...this is why Pavlik/Abraham still has to happen, title or no title. It's bombs away when that goes down.

man that would have been a great fight two years ago for the undisputed middleweight championship, but after seeing pavlik against hopkins and martinez, i don't think that he stand a chance against abraham, even if abraham is not the fighter hopkins or martinez is, but pavlik is way to one dimensional

I agree. I´ve always said the same, Wards toughest fight would be against Froch cause if he tries to headbutt, Froch will throw him out of the ring.
