Ward would smash Froch unfortunately, people who talk about the rough aspect of Froch's game ignore the fact that he can't punch on the inside and Ward is the best in the division at it. Froch is always going to struggle against a relatively complete fighter due to how hittable he is. Ward doesn't have the defensive and ring generalship inconsistencies that someone like Dirrell had to exploit frequently enough to win rounds.
There's a huge difference in being a good defensive fighter(Ward) and one who simply refuses to fight and literally runs away (Dirrell). Dirrell also took 'not fighting' to new depths by also repeatedly falling over, holding enough to warrant a DQ, and bitching to the referee any time Froch roughed him up a little. Maybe Ward would beat Froch, although I'm not so sure. Froch is one rough tough mother****er and will bring plenty of heat if he and Ward ever fight. Maybe people's opinions might alter somewhat after Froch easily beats AA
Ward would box circles around Froch, have him completely confused the entire fight and might even get a late KO.
BULL****! Froch was the one who should have been DQ'd. He threw over 100 rabbit punches that fight. Dirrell had good reason to complain.
No one's going to discourage Ward when he's in there doing his thing. Unless I'm terribly wrong, I think that guy has a rock solid spirit. He's not going anywhere if things get rough. He's been around the game long enough to know who he is and how to deal with different styles.
