George Chuvalo. Granite chin, fought everybody, never gave up in or out of the ring (had 3 sons who became heroin addicts, 2 died of overdoses, the other committed suicide, as did his wife after the death of the 2nd son).
WAR COTTO i think usually it's hard for people to find reason to hate the fighters that don't talk trash but are exciting and willing to take on anyone unless they just have hate running through their vains and are programmed to hate. Another word would be jealousy.
Glad to see minimum hate for JMM and Cotto, and I like the George Chuvalo answer. I didn't think of him. Also, the lack of hate for my first ever thread is encouraging as well! Thanks guys.
I didnt know he beat his wife. also that's a cliche description of negative domestic situations, I'm not sure how accurate that is
Im pretty sure he admitted it ( Didnt he go to jail for it too ? ) I bought the ring mag a few years back that was all old interviews form over the years , Young Holyfield , Forman , Young Tyson and Old Tyson , and amongst others Bobby Chacon. If memory serves he was quite open about it , his ilfe did sound mental alright and he certainly had his moments in the ring !
