I went to check on boxrec the age of his last 8 opponents:

    Harrison 39 years old
    Ruiz over 38 years old
    Valuev over 36 years old
    Barret over 37 years old
    Maccarinelli 27,5 years old
    Mormeck 35,5 years old
    Bonin 33,5 years old
    Fragomeni 37 years old

Of those the only boxers in his prime he faced were Maccarinelli (he got subsequently KO by Afolabi, Lebedev and Frenkel) and maybe Bonin (who is a journeyman). If the above numbers are correct than its:

    7 of 8 older than 30
    6 of 8 older than 35
    4 of 8 older than 37

How about fighting a HW boxer in his prime? It's not like there is a lack of potential opponents: Wlad, Adamek, Povetkin, Chagaev, Chambers, Arreola, Solis. Hell even Peter or Johnson would be better than the guys he fought at HW so far.

    Great post!!

David Haye is enduring a prolonged period. Leave her alone.

So if he fights Wlad (34 years old) and Vitali (39 years old) you'll ***** and whine about that too?

No because Wlad is in his prime & if he beat Wlad I'd respect him for it. Just stop protecting your GF.

Please do tell what a prime Nicolay Valuev looks like. Did he lose some of his fabled handspeed and agility? Did he start to slow down after his 32nd birthday? :rofl:rofl

Thank you for posting that because I now get to see the GIF of him launching Barrett across the ring with a push.

To be fair, he does operate in a higher weightclass where being above 30 isn't considered old.

36 seems to be about the average age for HW's these days, so these opponents were hardly all over the hill

Harrison's on the best run of his career
Ruiz boxed the best I've seen him box in years against Haye
Valuev - for the HW title
Barrett - experienced dangerous opponent for his 2nd fight at the weight
Enzo - Massive al UK world title unification fight
Mormeck - Haye went to his backyard and KHTFO to claim the unified title
Bonin - definitiely not past it, plus it was hayes 1st fight at the weight
Fragomeni - definitiely not past it, in fact it was his first BIG fight

Stop being such a sensitive soul, cupcake. I've slagged Haye off a plenty for ducking the K brothers. Regardless, your thread is still ****.

Good old box rec hey !!!!

    Ok .....................

Haye only has 25 pro fights , which actually explains a lot really , your post does hold some substance , particularly the HW exploits bit , your right Haye's resume is **** poor at HW , and he has made no noises that he is actually has intentions to take on the worlds best either so yes agree'd :good

At Cruiser weight it cannot be denied that Haye was the man who beat the man in Mormeck , its incidental how old Mormeck was and what sort of Mormeck it was Haye faced , fact is Haye beat him , then took a fight with Maccarinelli in what should of been a close fight on paper (Maccarinelli being seen as the favourite by most people) , and demolished him in a career best performance to unify the division :deal

He stated after Mormek he felt he was a HW and wanted the move , if Haye could of still made the weight id see Cunningham and the current best fighters @ Cruiser causing the Haye that fought Maccinarelli little problems .

I truly beleive Haye set out to smash the HW's when he first moved up , 2 reasons for that , at that time the Klitschko brothers had given little to write home over , Wladimir didnt look like half the man he is now , and Vitali was now old and semi retired , big question mark was over his head at that time !!! and the rest were hardly worth a mention , so Haye and everybody else seen the holes in what appeared to be a weak division . Haye has superior hand speed to all the other so called big slow HW's so much so he thought he was gonna walce in there and fire them all out !!!

So whats changed ??? , Valuev and Ruiz , 2 opponents Haye could of and should of brutally beaten up ??? :huh didnt turn out like that , also Haye can make lots of money by fighting bums like Audley Harrison because we as a nation love seeing world title fights even if Audley Harrison has to be the sacrificial lamb to make that happen :| , in summary , Haye has not been the dominant force he should of been @HW , and Wladimir and Vitali are dessimating top ranked opponents 1 after 1 , something they were not doing pre Haye's CW - HW jump (at least not in the devestating fashion that Wladimir has been anyway) slight expeption to Vitali there , given that all his best wins were now years behind him , something he's now taken care of and is rightfully ranked #2 in the world !!!!

In summary Haye can fight tomato cans and earn big bucks , maybe even be an actor all without fighting the bros , so who needs them ??? ****in ***** !!!

Promising Cruiser weight Champion of the world turns out to be a ***** at HW ..................... bottom line im afraid :deal

Fragomeni and Ruiz are decent wins.

Mormeck, Maccarinelli, Valuev are good wins.

    That is all.

I think Barrett is a decent win, and even though Bonin was just a journeyman with a decent record, the way in which Haye totally obliterated him is worthy of some recognition.
