Heavyweight contender Tony 'The Tiger' Thompson, who spent the last three weeks sparring WBA world champion David Haye, believes the British champion will have a very easy night when he defends the title against domestic rival Audley Harrison on November 13. Thompson told the South London Press that Haye impressed him during their sparring sessions and made him a believer. I couldn't have been more impressed with David in sparring, and he was twice the fighter I first thought he was. I just think this is going to be an easy win for him on November 13. I told David at the beginning that if he can hit me with right hands and beat the hell out of me in practice, he will destroy Audley Harrison. If David can do what he did to me, Audley's got no shot in this fight at all," Thompson. Thompson doesn't see Harrison as being anywhere near the level of Haye, in terms of skill and career accomplishments. Audley is nowhere near on this level. He's leagues below where I'm operating and that's just common boxing knowledge. Anybody that has ever watched a fight on television knows that. Audley might be an Olympic gold medallist, but he's nowhere near me as a pro. I've achieved, beaten good guys and mixed with the best, whereas Audley has achieved next to nothing so far, Thompson said.
Thank you Tony....But everybody knows Haye is well above Harrison. Thats is why the fight is being criticized so much.:roll:
damage control. they had to pay thompson to make these comments after the embarassment of getting decked by Tony the tiger. the hayefaker camp is expert of telling lies and deceptions and would not discount the idea that they put tony up to saying this. Thompson would kick Haye's ass in a real fight. the real judge will be after. will hayefaker be ready for Wlad? according to tony's words, he is ready. but I reckon it's a lie and he will continue to duck Wlad.
Reading between the lines and the endless list of compliments for Haye , it does sound like Thompson is having a dig at Haye at the fact this fight is even taking place !!!!! ****in embarrassing for Haye NO ????
No... if you don't try to read into it like a woman you will see he says Haye had the beatng of him in sparring and therefore should batter Audley as he doesn't think Audley is as good as him
