Margarito, after feeling it himself, admitted that it was hard enough to cause Shane harm. So I stick by what I've said before - it may not have been hard like a cast, but it definitely wasn't there for good intentions.

I'm at work and I've not got access to YouTube. Are you referring to the HBO segment where him and Uncle Roger take a call from a fan?

Let me clear that up for you

    http://boxing.fanhouse.com/2010/08/1...ile-suspended/
Here Margarito says: "anything that is in the wraps that is illegal would be cheating and an unfair advantage. I did not know [about the illegal wrappings]. I'm not arguing with you. I'm being completely honest with all of you. That's why I broke my relationship with Capetillo. It was hard to do, but that's what had to be done."

But it doesnt reflect Margarito's observation of his wrap as does the court statement below.
see bottom of page 7 section 1 of the actual hearing minutes.
    http://www.dca.ca.gov/csac/about_us/...818_agenda.pdf

"There are several factors that the Commission should consider in making a determination about Mr. Margarito's Petition for Reinstatement, including both factors in aggravation and factors in mitigation. Factors in aggravation that can be considered in the present case include the following:
    1.
Prior Disciplinary Record: The California State Athletic Commission imposed discipline in the form of license revocation against Mr. Margarito on March 31, 2009 (Case. No. 2009-0210-1). Mr. Margarito was found to have violated California Code of Regulations, Title 4, section 323, because a prohibited plasterlike substance was found in his hand wraps. The Commission imposed the penalty of revocation against Mr. Margarito because such an adulteration to the hand wraps "seriously endangers the boxer's opponent." (Ex. 2, p. 4)
    2.
Lack of Candor: This can be defined when the respondent was less than candid when testifying about the misconduct, if he tended to blame others for the misconduct, or if he tended to minimize the effects of the misconduct.! Petitioner claimed he was unaware of any illegal pads, and blamed his trainer for inserting the illegal pads. (Ex. 2, pp. 3-4.)

Thanks. I'll try and find that article I read.

The only thing I remember is Nazim making the Big Daddy Kane joke about it. I certainly don't recall him creating a big fuss over it.

But full credit to him, though. If it wasn't for his hawk-eye, Margarito would have walked into that fight with loaded gloves.

Seems like they didn't do it right. Coating and then baking the plaster wraps is creating a fragile outter shell.

The way casts are made is with a soft cotton wrap and then a plaster wrap which is wet and then wrapped over the cotton. There is no baking. It dries hard on its own. It would also be held in place if the wrap wasn't part of the hand wrap but just the pad set across the knuckles between the surgical (soft) wrap.

The pad was also used which probably also means whatever plaster was in it was already broken into. Obviously after use they wouldn't find a plaster insert but plaster elements within the cotton pad which is what the CSAC found.

If "not at all", why bother?

As far as Margarito's case goes, I think it's been exaggerated by his detractors (it was concrete) and minimized by his fans (it was nothing). As with everything else, the truth is somewhere in the middle.

Wrong again when he was asked the question what do you think could have happend if you went into the ring with loaded wraps his answer was an honest answer
it could have caused harm to Mosley...

he answered a question with the truth, he did not know they were hard cus he couldnt feel the ****ing things....

So before you go about your ranting make sure you know what the **** your talking about.

Because they only found sulfur and calcium that means they didn't find plaster?

You know oxygen (third component) is not scanned by those testing machines?

They found elements used to make plaster. The insert wasn't safe to be placed inside a boxing glove.
