Would Pacquiao get more respect for the De la hoya fight

Pac was favoured over those guys and schooled them easily, cotto was competitive until he got dropped and clottey was never in the fight.
Remember this, pacquiao is favoured heavily over margarito and will win but closely after that margarito will be known as a great win for him. It works the opposite win as dlh win.

 

The big problem in this equation was how bad Oscar looked , not how good Manny looked :deal

People began to speculate how a Lightweight could of went in there and battered Oscar De La Hoya !!! , even though we all knew Oscar was now way past his best , he had gone life and death with Floyd Mayweather and looked semi decent against Forbes ...........

Then there was Oscar's appearance , he looked ****in awful , think of the athlete in his prime fighting Trinidad and then look at the ****in skinny ill looking De La Hoya that fought Manny and it was pretty disturbing , then the rumours of the rehydration thing , the fact Oscar weighed 145 on the night , all these things made it look worse than it was !!!

Fact is Oscar was slightly weight drained , but was a shadow of his former self , and Pacquiao just dominated a fighter who was inferior to him at that time , thats all there is too it , it doesnt matter if they fought at 160 Pacquiao at that time was a better fighter than Oscar :deal

 

It was Oscars own fault for coming in so low but how much did it hurt him? He had nothing against Pacquiaos speed and Pacman was the underdog

 

He gets credit for the win but not for merely taking the fight.

No one turns down their biggest payday from DLH!

 

When I think about this if floyd had not decided to reject a second carreer high payday against de la hoya in a rematch he would have won even easier we would not even be talking now about pac vs may this much. So his own foolishness when he retired caused pac to surpass him as best boxer of the generation. Actually Pacquiao beating Oscar is one of the most important fights of recent years because it totally shook up the welterweight division and changed a lot of boxers, especially Pacs life.

 

Obviously Manny trained for the best DLH possible. Manny more than held up his end and deserves credit for the win.

Its not how he beat him. Its how Oscar looked. I mean they were selling the fight on size. It was the great lil man vs the great big man. Except the big man weighed less than the lil man. It showed in the performance. Oscar had only lost 1 fight clearly his whole career. That was to Hopkins.

 

Maybe, Oscar looking awful in that fight might be the result of the hard punches connecting on his face early on while he still seemed fresh - just maybe.
