On top of that would you take a fight with Kelly pavlik at this time? I'm not trying to kick him while he is down, but as a boxing manager i wouldn't let my guy sign to fight him...He pulls out of fights too much. And if he doesn't pull out he was sick or too heavy before camp.

 

I was about to post that RDS (French language based network in Quebec) confirmed the negotiations but I just realized they are just reporting the article from ESPN. Not sure how I would feel about this. While it would give him great opportunities with the super six contestants, I also felt that he was forging his own identity with HBO and had the potential for interesting fights down the road.

On the other hand at least we won't see more Brinkley fights down the road due to the quality of opposition that showtime will offer him.
