Lemieux vs. Rubio: WBC Title Eliminator!

You better hope Williams beats Martinez so. Because Martinez is all wrong for Lemieux. Too soon for the kid. Give him another 3 or 4 fights.

If he stops Rubio then i will be completely sold on him.

 

Rubio would be a pretty decent step up for Lemieux - he has a chin, and he's a long fighter. He does have a history of wilting under pressure though, and I would expect Lemieux to win.

 

I'm just not sure who they are getting a shot at.

Martinez or that Interim champ. named Zbik?

What about Chavez Jr and his "Silver Belt"?

 

I think Chavez is dumping his silver title. Lemieux beats the everloving tar out of Zbik, who sucks badly and needed a couple of robberies just to keep his paper title.

Oh right. I thought it was an eliminator to fight the real WBC champion. Yeah, a paper bull**** WBC title sounds more realistic.

Again this is not a test for this kid. He should fight some durable Fresh guy who can hold their own..

Lemieux is 21 for **** sake. He fought for a world title last year. Rubio is a perfect step up. I'd like to see him fight an awkward tall classical boxer. Someone like Craig McEwan.
