Carl Froch is a hero. I'll be very, very nervous about the Abraham fight though

    Enjoy it :good

You're only a fan because he has a good chin

Funny thing is, that video also shows Dirrell landing the cleaner blows lol.

You wont find any Froch highlights of that fight. There is none, you dont have highlights where you land under 5 power punches.

Personally, I think Dirrell won that fight. He did outland Froch, but only marginally, and because of his negative tactics I can understand why he lost that fight and I have no quarrel with anyone who scored that fight in favour of Froch. But the fighter who aggressed and pressed the fight got the close decision, which is by no means rare in boxing. Dirrell arguably deserved the close decision, but he didn't get it and Froch won. End of story.

Anyone who scored 6 rounds for Froch doesnt know **** about boxing.

Its effective aggression, not swinging wildly and missing.

Froch wasn't exactly hitting the target, but Dirrell didn't throw enough punches in alot of the rounds to counter Froch's aggression.

Don't forget that the most respected boxing magazine - The Ring scored the fight for Froch, as well as Boxing News. I don't fully agree, but these are the 'experts' not us.

In the RING article done after the fight, it had several articles claiming that Dirrell was robbed, the very first article about the fight is how the ref and judges had to change the rules of boxing to get Froch the victory.

Please actually review the rules of boxing. You think simple aggression scores points? I dont care if a guy lands 1 punch in a round, if he lands 1 punch and you are aggressive but dont land any you dont win.

i dont get why people hate him. he fights the best out there, and without being a great boxer, or without having great athleticism.

    full credit to the man.

i think he'll beat AA on points tbh

would hate to see him vs bute tho, with frochs lack of defence he is a knockout victim of bute's for sure.

I couldnt but laugh a bit when Froch came with the comment:

"It'd knock him[Kalle Sauerland], let's see how many points I'll get for that" thought it was quite fun :p

But he did land punches, and the punch stat numbers showed that Dirrell landed more punches but only by a small margin. If one fighter only outlands another by a small amount, it is perfectly understandable for a judge to score the fight in favour of the guy who landed the few less, because it was by such a small margin. It is not as easy to score from ringside as it is to analyse rounds on video where you can easily count punches. So therefore it is perfectly feasible for a judge to make a small mistake or miscalculation here or there in regards to countign punches landed. Dirrell did not land substantially more punches than Froch, and that is why he did not win.

Dan Rafael scored it for Froch, which does make me think Dirrel did actually win.

You don't beat Pascal, Taylor, and Dirrell 1 after the other if u ain't talented. Though you guys here on the general forum still don't accept that he beat Dirrell :D. And on November 27th he will smash Abraham.

He did not lose to Dirrell, but he is not going to smash AA, should be the other way around, unfortuantely.

Dirrell landed the cleaner shots and he landed more. He also flopped around like a fish. Between that and Froch's roughhouse tactics it was a bit of an ugly fight. Froch was the aggressor in the sense that he was stalking Dirrell around the ring and making him fight. He didn't really win those exchanges though. Remember how the crowd got all loud and excited everytime Froch landed something? They didn't get loud that often. They were clearly frustrated that Dirrell wasn't just standing in front of Froch and taking his licks. I can understand that. However, you don't win fights by letting people punch you in the face. So Dirrell was very, very evasive. It was not a pretty fight for either fighter. Froch got the win. Fine, I guess. It was close. I would've given it to Dirrell.
