    Charles easily.

    Tunney was an overrated bum.

I would also rank Charles higher, but Tunney was hardly a bum.

Sorry my friend but I don't know you to trust you. I trust the words of historians, people who saw him fight and my own to eyes. I would like to hear why you feel this way though.

I´d pick Tunney to beat Roy Jones, Body Head.

Oh, and yes it´s Charles and pretty clear too.

While i believe I'd pick Tunney to win, Charles accomplished far more as a track record to go on ... Tunney's career at heavyweight was just so short highlighted by victories over a faded Dempsey ..

I'll never understand the thought process behind putting a time limit on a poll like this.

Clearly Ezzard. His resume at heavyweight is infinitely superior to Tunney's. Head to head,it would be a good fight but Ezzard would win.

    I go with Charles also.

Tunney had few fights at heavyweight, and even less as champion.

Still I think Tunney got out about the right time, but as "Heavyweight" only, I think Charles did a lot more.

pound for pound still favors Charles, though Tunney was a better lightheavyweight than he was a heavyweight imo.

hmmm. OK let's stay on topic here.

Anyways since you really did have to post, Jones mops the floor with Tunney no doubt.

You could make a case for Charles being a top 5 Heavyweight in terms of accomplishments. A brief but remarkable title run while only being behind Louis and Ali in top 10 wins.

I'll never understand the Tunney thing. He fights like Sergio Mora except Tunney throws less combinations and holds even more.
