Shut up muppet i dont care how the *** fraud spells his name cassius clay most overated boxer of all time.
Jesus, princess. I was agreeing with you about Mohammed and clarifying that we didn't mean Muhammad. Who the **** is this other guy you're mentioning now? Is he any relation to Kasseaus Clay?
At present: 1. Julio Cesar Chavez ( Don't even begin to mention that KT beat him in '00, cause he was done long before then) 2. Aaron Pryor 3. Barney Ross 4. Dulio Loi 5. Nicolino Locce 6. Antonio Cervantes 7. Tony Canzoneri 8. Kostya Tzsyu 9. Jose Napoles (didn't win a championship, but was dominant at the weight) 10. Bruno Arcari
I can see Galaxy, and perhaps Lopez based on quality of competition, although I would argue that there are enough decent scalps for both of them to have achieved some measure of greatness at least. Your hatred of Locce is already well known. What's the reasoning for Jofre being overrated. I gave my rationale for why KT was overrated, at the time.
1. I regard Chavez as the best JWW of all time. 2. Aaron Pryor's whole reputation is based on his wins over Arguello who was never a proven 140 pounder, having never beaten a TOP10 JWW. In addition to that, Pryor cheated to win. Impressive. 3. Barney Ross was a lightweight and the JWW division wasn't a legitimate division at the time and to say that the JWW belt wasn't highly regarded is a big understatement. 4. Loi fought exclusively in his hometown against low-level opposition. He supposedly beat Ortiz twice on points, in his hometown:think.Fought at the world level for 2 years(60-62), in a baby division that was re-started in 1959 after a long dormancy. How many minutes of footage have you seen out of his 126 fights? How exactly did you rank him so high? 5. Have to live up to my reputation here : Nicolino Locche is possibly the biggest myth in boxing history. He was an exhibition boxer whose reputation rests on small video segments, individual rounds or carefully edited "Locche" highlights of certain fights. After 105 exibition fights he beats the very limited banger Paul Fuji to win the WBA title. Has a good win against Carlos Hernandez in Buenos Aires. A suspicious SD win in Buenos Aires against a southpaw Spaniard who failed multiple times to win the Spanish title! Then he supposedly shuts out Cervantes in Buenos Aires, the judges giving him every round. 3 months after this he was legitimately outpointed by the inferior Alfonso Frazer. Only a year after their first fight Cervantes and Locche fight again and this time --with video available-- Locche doesn't look so spectacular and gets TKOd in 10. Interesting. He also has a draw with Ortiz from his exhibition days that ringside observers had him losing. Locche was was very good defensively but no so good offensively. All in all: 135 fights but only 8 title fights (6-2) All in all probably the greatest myth in boxing history. 6. Cervantes is a TOP5 JWW of all time. 7. See 3 9. How can you justify this rating? 10. See 9
