All the time he has been off will have a bad effect on him. 2 years after retirement would have been ok, but this amount of time would really hurt him. He would not be the same fighter. Isn't he near 45 years old. At heavyweight age does not matter as much, but the inactivity would be the thing which hurts him.

It's pretty impossible to say. If he was the same Lewis who beat Holyfield the first time, then he would beat both clits, and clean up the division. But, at his age, and being inactive so long, more than likely he would be completey shot, and wouldn't do much.

Good point, think he would need at least 2 or 3 tune up fights before taking on the big (literally) boys... and that might be an understatment.

Good points, and this is why it will never happen. Plus Manny Steward said five years ago he would not train him if he came back.

How much do you suppose Lewis weighs nowadays anyway? He has got to be pushing 300 at least right?

No. Because there are three fighters who destroy him.

    Vitali
    Wlad
    Sam Peter

I wonder how long it would take Lewis to get at, or close to, his usual fighting weight...

Lewis would beat American-level opponents like Briggs, Barrett, Brewster, Brock, and Banks, but would lose to the Euro-level athletes who prevail in the sport today.

    Top 3.

The Klits would be tough fights at this point. Other than that, he beats anyone until Helenius and Pulev are ready.

POST SCRIPT: As much as I am a Klit fan, I was a Lewis fan back when no one liked him and I say that at his best, he would have knocked Wladdy out.

The first 2 I agree with, but Lewis' excellent uppercut would be hell for Peter.
