The fight IS NOT happening, WBC ruled Vitali must face winner of Austin-Solis first.

However, you are correct, March 17th is a Thursday....must have been the 19th instead. But it's a moot point now.

Good move by Adamek! He probably won't make it to the final bell, but at least he goes for it. I've just read another thread about that he should fight Wlad instead, but come on... Can you imagine Wlad pounding away on him!
Of course he's got a better chance against Haye, but I don't think there's a big chance Haye is giving him a shot. Certainly not if he still wants to retire before he turns 31 (means 1 or 2 bouts max after Audley).

At least Adamek has balls, go Tomasz! :bbb

    Ow....

Well, that paves way for Adamek - Wladimir K, a far more meaningful, if not better, fight anyway.

This would be the biggest heavyweight bout since Wlad - Chambers.

Smaller Byrd did hit Vitali (prime), so it wouldnt be impossible for Adamek to hit a bit older "bigger bro". With a bit of luck, this fight would be very competetive for 12 rounds . Its a pity that King corrupted WBC, so we wont see the fight in March :tired

I guess Vitali vs Austin it will be then...............

I am not sold on Solis beating Austin and the outcome may be Vitali vs Austin............But either way, VK thrashes whomever wins.

    :good

    Adamek touches here several issues:
    1) If HBO which wants badly this fight pays well WBC may happily wait cuz It's all about TV, popularity and fans
    2) Eventually, Adamek might fight just against Vitali without WBC belt, cuz It's names that are important
    3) If fight somehow doesnt go off in March he says he has no problem with it happening in Summer

Lol Vitali wasn't in his prime when he fought Bryd. Vitali peak in his prime when he fought Lewis in which he got the popularity from the fans with the way he fought. But if Grant can stunned Adamek, i see Vitali doing more then stunned on Adamek.

Chances are very very slim cause Vitali will not throw the wbc in the garbage cause he wants to win both wbc and wba so that him and his brother can be the only heavyweights in history to have both brothers holding all belts in the family.

Adamek was very reckless in that fight. He got stunned while throwing 6 punches combination at a wrong timing. I dont think he would fight the same way against Vitali. Anyway, who actually said Grant is feather-fisted? - I guess his hands are not lighter than Vitalis.
