It's called taking care of your guys. Arum knows Cotto is a cash cow, so he's hooking him up (and keeping him right in the view of millions).

I've hooked up the sales guys on my team who are bringing in money with tickets and perks before. And I'll do it again. Arum's just doing it on a bigger scale.

 

i have a feeling Cotto will end up taking on Bundradge next then maybe Pac as a backup but i dont see any need, i think he takes a worse beating next time.

i think now with a real trainer and not just his friends taking orders from him, he has a chance at being very competitive at 154 if he decides to stay. i even think with ES in his corner and not shitty ass santiago he has a chance at a more competitive fight with pac.

 

Id be interested in Cotto Marg 2 just to see how much difference there is since the hand wrap scandal. I still had Cotto a point ahead i think when he was stopped so it'd be interesting to see if Marg could wear him down as much without the wraps (if they were used in that fight). As for Cotto - Pac 2 i cant really see how Cotto could hav improved so much in a year and a half to do any better (unless Margo puts a sustained beating on him).

Same. The Margarito rematch just has to happen. Margarito needs to redeem the suspicions, Cotto needs to restore his mental fortitude. I feel if he improves enough under Steward after a few fights and Margartio, then let him have his shot against Pacquiao again if he wants to keep fighting. He was more than competitive before his technical errors were leaving him way open and his confidence was sapped. A few more fights with Steward and a victory against Margarito could turn that around.

besides yo boy marg clearly lost the whole 1st half of the fight and we all know that fists weren't the only thing in those gloves.

 

I think he has a better chance of possibly learning from and building upon what he learned in the Pac fight, because in that fight he's the bigger man and could possibly hurt Pac. Margo walks through his shots again, and in my opinion Cotto hasn't been the same offensively since the Margo fight.

Hopefully Cotto gets a chance again, you have to admire his courage esp with everything he has gone through inside and outside the ring.
