You have 506 posts, I'm sure you're not bored of Canelos threads...I doubt you see thread after thread about canelo every day...You're dumbass should comment those peice of **** comments on Pac-PBF threads.

Its not like we see an Alvarez thread every hour, or even every day dip ****.

he already is being overrated. i feel at his stage he should step up to fight a top 10 opponent i.e. cintron, angulo, rhodes etc.

In a sport desperately in need of more young stars to carry the torch, I have no idea why it's such a big ****ing deal even if he IS overrated. If he is, the litmus test of time will prove it. If he isn't, then all the better! We'll have an exciting star on our hands.

Thats what I'm saying 19yrs old and K.Oing boxers who never been Knockedout. He just needs the rite people behind him so he doesnt turn into a Vargas.

when you consider his age and his relatively limited boxing experience, the kid is a stud. even if he doesnt become a future p4p, he deserves some hype for what he has acomplished thus far. I really dont see any flaws that cant be fixed by a top trainer, hes got all the tools and all the time in the world to learn how to use them.

First off, I LIKE Canelo. I think he has talent and is an entertaining fighter. However, he fights out of guadalajara (right?), think of how big boxing is in mexico and how many other unknown fighters are arguably better than Canelo. If he looked like MAB or Morales (avarage looking mexicans) would he be fighting on ppv undercards at 20? No, it is all about his unique look and marketability, luckily he has decent skills to hold his own under the limelight. Oscar went to mexico and saw this irish looking mexican and saw dollar signs.

:deal The kids got huge potential, but definitely a work in progress. I would say he's overrated if he actually lost to a nobody or if by 25yrs old he's fighting shot former champs, but this is a kid who's 19-20yrs old. Very rarely do fighters by that age are considered great no matter who they beat.

WTF are you talking about? How many 19 year olds can beat two vetarans like baldomir and Cotto???

The reason he is getting hype is because for a 19 year old (now 20) he is pretty damn good.

I suppose I'm a bit apprehensive to jump on the bandwagon because so many prospects have gone by the wayside. Canelo isn't overhyped, the praise he gets is justified and on a reasonable level, but the thing that worries me and stops me from eagerly confiding in him is his lack of any spectacular trait. Pacquiao looked flawed as **** when he started out, but he could punch like a mofo and had great speed. Canelo has good power, but everything else is standard. He is well-rounded and I'll be sure to watch him fight, but I can sympathize with someone when they're not so sure he's a future P4P star.

    he is excellent prospect!

however...........i agree about the defence i remember watching him fight cotto on the undercard of some big fight(cant remember which) and he was heavily rocked in that fight! showed a lot of guts to keep going tho! i thought cotto had him
