Odd one this, both really cagey, great boxers with victories over two massive punchers... So how do you see this panning out?
I think Young by split decision. Tunney can dance and shot his jab all he wants but young will be dodging and blocking a lot of those shots and countering with his own. Plus Tunney would be wide open for those counters if he really fought the same way with his guard down. Tunney would make It close though I think because he was a great boxer in his own right
Tunney would be a little too versatile for Young. One key factor would be that he was as good fighting ofensivley as defensivley against an oponent who did not hold a significant edge over him in terms of firepower.
Breathe boxed ears jesus christ!! Not quite so sure on the outcome myself, its gonna go to the cards though definately... and I see it being REALLY close.
to be honest I think that's a completely reasonable answer. I could see it going for Tunney too if he does enough to win the round
come on guys, this IS a tough one to call, especially with all the pro-young threads on here lately. I'm kind of high and can't really think terribly straight but i'll go with conventional wisdom and say tunney. too active, too technically strong with a superior jab that will allow him to control the distance and when needed, pace of the fight. young had slickness, skills but not enough power to dent tunney. young will keep it close but it's clear at the end for tunney
Tunney has better offense altogether..... Young was overly defensive...... Tunney on points... MR.BILL
Tunney takes this handily. The guy had amazing speed and footwork, great grit and durability, and crushingly good power when his hands weren't hurt. I think he would have done a better job on Foreman, even.
