  1. Why did manny choose to sign the margarito fight right away? Was he scared of something, or someone?

No but when you take a year off during your prime. Come back fight one meaningful fight and then go back into retirement basically yeah you are ducking people.

Good point, who has a better resume than these two in the past 20 years. I'm not sayin they have the best, but how many people have a better one

Maybe Pacquiao and Whitaker but thats it. In terms of resumes over the last 20 years its probably

    1. Whitaker
    2. Roy Jones
    3. Pacquiao
    4. Floyd Mayweather
    5. Bernard Hopkins

Those who hate on Roy Jones and Mayweathers resumes do so without acknowledging that their current legacies are outstanding. Mayweather is 15-0 against former, current or future world champions. 18-0 in championship fights. Amazing.

Roy Jones legacy is basically the whos who of middleweights and lightheavyweights over his generation. A few like Collins, Benn and Dariusz he never fought but they would have been easily dealt with, all 3 lost to Jones victims.

Yeah lets just skip Collins, Benn and Dariuz shall we, and Eubank and Calzaghe for that matter too, cause like you say, they'd have been "easily dealt with"

I think Calzaghe was ducking Roy more than Roy ducking him

Benn lost to Malinga who Roy destroyed. Collins lost to MacCallum who Roy toyed with and Dariusz lost to Gonzalez who Roy also easily toyed with.

Calzaghe would have been a challenge, but he was never ever ever going to fight Roy Jones Jr. Read Warrens statements about Calzaghe's mental state. How he'd constantly pull out of fights because of fear. He'd never get in the ring with a prime Roy?

Eubanks? Please, he struggled with guys I've never even heard of.

Roy beat the 2 best fighters of his generation. Toney and Hopkins, and it wasnt close.
