Ireland's trade split over Casey-Hyland

If I am honest I really havent got a clue which way this one is going to go!

Thats usually makes for a cracking night.

I'm going for Hyland on points.

I'm going for Casey by stoppage. He is up for it, he is at home has a big engine and will bring the pressure all night long. I just don't think Hyland can keep him at bay for the twelve rounds. I see it as bring similiar to Poonsawat/Dunne, the puncher hunting down the boxer with a big prize at stake.

 

I got to go with Hyland. I usually favour the guy with the strong amateur pedigree. Paul is just that little bit more seasoned and has that extra bit of finesse. Casey has been matched tough, but at some point the learning curve becomes too steep to climb.



I expect it to be a tough nights work either way. I know Casey is going to be in fantastic shape for it. He's strong, durable and has a terrific work ethic. If he can pressure Hyland right from the off maybe he can make him wilt late on.

 

Can't see Hyland winning myself. Fancy Casey to win it on points or stop him late on but definitely Willie Casey gets the W.

 

I think Casey will stop him. His pressure is too relentless. If Paulie wasn't feather fisted he would have a great chance but Casey won't be deterred one bit by Paulies counter punches. He'll eat them and give Hyland a big bang in return. This is a massive step up for Hyland, it's much less so for Casey. I think Hyland could well be in for a surprise.

 

Casey for me, Hyland doesnt hit hard enough to discourage Casey and Willie will bring the usual relentless pressure to take a decision for me, though I'm not sure how exciting it will be, I can see Paulie doing a lot of clinching.

 

While I think Casey will take this one I believe Hyland would have the better chance against Martinez. If he could avoid getting caught in the first 3/4 rounds he could out point Kiko for the rest of the fight.

I think Casey will get to him late on. The atmosphere in Limerick will be ****in electric.

 

Interesting the general lack of interest in this outside of the Irish posters. I wonder is it because British posters dont really know them or that they arnt really interested in boxing outside of what is served up to them by SKY?
