what "experts" predicted Dirrell to get his ass kicked? Please show me these experts.

Given that Andre Dirrell and Andre Ward have proven themselves far superior to the meagor competition they were put in against, the Eurobums who were being hyped as world beaters and were shown to be as anyone who watched any of their fights should have known, athletically inferior 1 dimensional robots, with the exception of Carl Froch who is a 0 dimensional caveman, why would Andre Dirrell and Andre Ward fight for a small prize, given they could make the jump to HBO and fight on a nation wide stage?

You know the last time promoters ****ed up and put 2 gifted fighters in the ring together to early was? Hopkins and Jones. Both Ward and Dirrell arent even peak yet.

I'd like to see Ward and Dirrell get some more fights under their belts and have a fight on HBO PPV some time in 2012. One of these guys should have taken care of Bute by then.

I think Dirrell, at his best, would have a higher chance of beating both Bute and Ward than either of the other two would have of beating Dirrell and the other guy, although I also think that Dirrell's chance against either is smaller than the chance of the other two against each other. It's just that his style is more suited to beating both than Bute's and Ward's style to beating Dirrell AND the other guy.

I think people are starting to overrate both Ward and Bute and underrate Dirrell just because they don't like him.

 

Dirrell's got all the skills in the world. Just no balls, no heart. And he & his team are money-hungry whores

Ward-Dirrell would never be PPV. First of all Dirrell cant even sell out his hometown and Ward is really not an exciting fighter or charismatic.

They have really no followings or exciting styles.

Its crap if Dirrell fights again. Specially before the Showtime tourney is over. I hope Showtime take legal action.

 

Ward vs Dirrell would never be pay per view? Nonsense. The 2 most gifted young fighters in America. An undefeated Olympic gold medalist. Now the robbery against Froch does hurt Dirrells marketability. But if these guys are the tops in the Division unanimously, its easy to sell this fight to the public.

I believe Dirrell did 5-8,000 in Detroit. Ward does about 10,000-12,000 in Oakland. Decent numbers, considering guys like Berto and Dawson cant get 1,000 in their hometowns.

It wouldnt even have to be the mainevent and it still garner more money then they'd get with Showtime.
