 Fail. Because I didn't say "beat" did I? Can you read? I said he had struggled.

Castillo never had speed, and he beat Floyd. :patsch

The past-prime version of Oscar never had much speed, and he pushed Floyd all the way. :patsch

Judah only really had speed, and he still managed to make Floyd struggle before he folded like the mental weakling he is in the face of Floyd's aggression. :patsch

I don't know what any experts thought of the decision, I've never bothered to track that information down. All I know is the reality - it was a split decision. :good

    Manny Pacquiao.
    Bernard Hopkins.
    Evander Holyfield.

And you can have these as well for good measure:

    Erik Morales
    Marco Antonio Barrera
James Toney (hasn't officially retired yet)
    Roy Jones Jr (the same)

That's two more prime A-class fighters than Floyd has beaten though! :smoke:smoke:smoke

Mayweather vs Castillo I: When I watched this fight I heard Floyd complain in the corner about his shoulder pain midway through. Since Floyd was 100% in the 2nd fight, and he won a clear UD without much trouble, why do people focus so much on the 1st fight and not the 2nd. To me it seems if Floyd had been at 100%, what happened in the 2nd fight would have been what would have happened in the 1st fight.

It helps to know how a fighter will respond when they're having some trouble and not in complete control.

The only guy he's struggled with over the course of 12 rounds is Castillo, and he was 24 years old, outweighed by 10lbs, first time fighting at 135, and had a torn rotator cuff.

    Next!!

Castillo never beat Floyd. Post your scorecard.

Oscar was competitive for 8 rounds then got blown out over the next 4 rounds. Some rounds being outlanded 4-1 down the stretch. And again Oscar outweighed Floyd by 10lbs.

So in order to trouble floyd you have to catch him moving up in weight, outweigh him significantly, and hope he's injured.

Which was Floyds plan all along. Again he won 3 roudns at best. Is that the best you can do? 3 rounds?

Ok so why do you say Floyd lost to Castillo? Why are you admitting to being a hypocrite. Why should anyone take your opinion seriously? dd

    Yep

    Nope

    Nope

    :lol::lol:

    Yep

Thats 2 guys. The fact that you'd even mention Barrera, Morales and Toney as having a better resume then Floyd is laughable.

Sorry but it has to be said, YOU DONT KNOW **** ABOUT BOXIN. :deal

Castillo won the first fight. Non fanboys agree with this, but Floyd won the rematch. Everyone agrees with this. In case anyone doesn't remember, the judges scored the second fight closer than the first. Which should tell you a lot about the first fight's scoring. Floyd would also have won the 3rd fight if it had happened (if he had lost the first on paper). It was Mayweather's first fight at the weight, and Castillo outweighed him by 8 pounds on fight night. Basic strength and size cannot be forgotten here. Intelligent pressure combined with being the bigger, stronger fighter allowed Castillo that success. Plus, Mayweather just wasn't as good then as he is now.

Its not as thick as Mayweathers thats for sure. You could make a case though. I'd still have Mayweather ahead.

lol @ people who think Floyd vs Oscar was a "close" fight. Floyd won 3 times the amount of rounds oscar did.

When Floyd has a genuinely close fight with Castillo, they don't want to trust the judges scorecards. When Floyd easily beat Oscar, they end up trusting the judges scorecards.

You're the world's biggest biased fan boy so there is no point even attempting to have an intelligent debate with you.

like i said that fight was fixed, if you cant see it then you're an idiot

oscar started beating that ass with the jab but then realized millions of dollars are on the line so he eased off and let mayweather head, funnily enough mayweathers fights since then have all been promoted by GBP.

Floyd owned Oscar. The split decision was utter BS but people will hang onto it as some kind of stick to beat with. This is a massively underrated win. Floyd's first and only fight at 154, and agreeing to all of Oscar's demands on ring size and gloves etc.
