Zab Judah Vs Lucas Matthysse Weigh-In Pictures! (05/11/2010)

I agree with much of what you've posted but has Matthysse successfully dealt with this kind of hand speed/power combination before ?

 

I'm not crazy. Judah's second to last fight was on PPV (promoted by Fernando Vargas) - remember?

His opponent? ****ing 22-19-2 Ubaldo Hernandez, who he KTFO in two rounds. :barf

The undercard? Joel Casamayor looking bad in winning a UD against Jason ****ing Davis (who Stevie Forbes had stopped in 2 rounds) plus a bunch of other scrubs.

There are worse cards on low-level PPV all the time. Come on. Don't tell me this would even be close to the worst $20 value you'd ever seen. It would be one of the best ever at that price point, actually.

As for the fight - it's gotta be an early KO either way...or else some kind of win for Matthysse if it gets past the halfway mark (either a late TKO or a decision...especially since Judah might be taking a few trips to the floor).

HBO is showing Judah-Matthysse and Guerrero-Escobedo.

 

Zewski and Reed look huge for their weights.

 

Does anyone know of the cards will be shown at the sane time? I've waited up for fights in the past, where both have been shown at the same time. I'm only interested in Judah/Matthysse and Marquez/Lopez though, so I hope those two don't clash.

There will be some overlap.

Showtime is airing from 10pm until 12:30pm. HBO BAD is from 11:15 until 12:45.

So basically your best chance to watch everything is if Johnson-Green and Lopez-Marquez both end in early knockouts.

 

Well yea it would make for a low level PPV but i personally would not want to pay for it.

I also think Judah is gonna hit the ground a few times.

I dont understand why people think Judah is gonna make some sort of historic comeback and compete with the elite at 140. I know Matthysse is not elite at 140 yet but I have heard Judahs name thrown out against the best at 140.

This will really just be an end to Judah at the top level.
