I'd absolutely love to, but I'm flying out to Saudi Arabia the month after, so I'm afraid not.

Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer explained the real reason why light welterweight champion Amir Khan decided to fight WBA light welterweight interim champion Marcos Maidana, in an interview with Steve Bunce in London, saying “There was no real choice with taking this fight, as he [speaking about Maidana] is the mandatory [for Amir Khan]. It was either fight him or be stripped of the belt.

I rest my case. Have a nice day :hi:

'Difficulties'. They didn't state what difficulties.

From what we heard from GBP, HBO and team Khan, the dispute was solely down to the place and the money.

It was not enforced at the time. it was enforced because Maidana wanted more money. Unless we have some clear facts to go on, it's really a going-nowhere type of debate.

Yes, because he enforced it when the money problems were in case, so obviously he would be stripped.

Why was the dispute settled days within the Purse bid being announced?

How did the venue, the money, everything else get settled in the short period?

Are you saying team Khan weren't interested in any of this before this was enforced?

It was always going to happen. Maidana just wanted more £££ in his pocket so he put it to purse bids and played it smart.

Prescott came out fast in the fight a landed some good shots, Khan was stumbled with a left hook early on and Prescott landed another huge overhand right which floored Khan, He managed to get to his feet but after another four punch barrage to his already suspect chin Khan was knocked out and couldn't beat the count.

    Here's an interesting question.

Why is Maidana his 'mandatory challenger' and not his 'next opponent'??

Clearly he is frightened to death of Maidana and scared out of his mind. If he trembles anymore his chin is going to be like a wine glass at an opera house.

I will state what Schaefer said again as you obviously dispute it:

Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer explained the real reason why light welterweight champion Amir Khan decided to fight WBA light welterweight interim champion Marcos Maidana, in an interview with Steve Bunce in London, saying “There was no real choice with taking this fight, as he [speaking about Maidana] is the mandatory [for Amir Khan]. How does you flying to Saudi Arabia a month after the Khan fight stop you going to the fight?

Schaefer basically stated that Khan had no choice to fight Maidana or he would be stripped of his belt. Do you dispute what Schaefer said........Yes or no?
