I want to apologise for my part in this thread. I had a skinful, came in and saw Fra giving it large and i just couldn't resist. I don't even agree with the things i said.

Regardless of religion, any boxer from this island is Irish until he states otherwise imo.

Some might say Ireland has long sold its soul to Europe anyway, so...

During the Irish War of Independence on November 21, 1920 Croke Park was the scene of a massacre by the Royal Irish Constabulary (RIC). The Police, supported by the British Auxiliary Division entered the ground, shooting indiscriminately into the crowd killing or fatally wounding 12 during a Dublin-Tipperary gaelic football match. The dead included 11 spectators and Tipperary's captain, Michael Hogan. Posthumously, the Hogan stand built in 1924 was named in his honour.

europes never really been the problem mate.

tell leo messi brother that.... connolly and pearse must be turning in their graves... at the thought of irish men joining the british army so to help them inflict more brutality on the world

the fools the fools the fools, they have left us our fenian dead, and while ireland hold these graves and many others like it... ireland unfree shall never be at peace:good

Loved the Irish national football team, ie England second 11 team *wink*, with an English manager, in the 90s.

Apart from when they beat England of course.:D
