Agree. They're far more perceptive, professional and balanced than HBO. I think HBO's presentation has gotten complacent.
tonight's showbox card shits all over the BAD one. Another lackluster, uninspiring set of fights HBO is showing us -- desperately trying to create a new star out of nowhere.
this is great for boxing fans but the problem is that all the fight are on november and december. august, sep and oct was so bored, can they come to an agreement? I guess not
HBO is practically owned by GBP which is more than a bit of a conflict of interest. They'll continue to put on **** fights.
You guys aren't just whistling dixie. I'm out of town and the motel only has HBO. This HBO BAd card isn't even close to the significance, pagaentry, or action that the SHO card has. Showtime defintely has surpassed HBO. The only way HBO could close out as strong for 2010 would be to show Pac/Margo free on HBO.
In comparison, HBOs show tonight, when I flipped over from Sho, was as quiet as a funeral. From the commentary, to the production, to the actual fights, it just all seemed so lackluster in comparison to Showtime.
