Really great fight and I'm interested to know when Marquez injured his shoulder. If it was early on, before Lopez started to really dominate, I'd love to see a rematch.

Nice to see Rafa hold his own.

Marquez didn't know where he was at the end of the 8th. He quit on his stool.

He said his shoulder was injured in training. Given how few right hands he threw in the entire fight, I'm sure he's telling the truth.

Bring on a rematch! Great fight.

I'm glad Lopez proved his chin, like I said he would.

I say no. Sure Maruez injured his shoulder but imo he injured it in that last round before the stoppage. Before that Lopez was winning on alot of rounds except the 4th. So no. I want Lopez vs Caballero. <<<That's the fight i want the most cause i'm tired of Caballero talking sh4t.

Imo he threw the right land less cause Lopez was landing it first most of the time bothering Marquez. Look alot of fighters have an injury doing the fight. It happens but i don't think Marquez injured his shoulder in training camp cause why would he do it in a huge fight like this? That don't make any sense what so ever. I like Marquez but sometimes fighters will lie if the injury started way too early like in training camp. Lopez won the fight fair and square. Now it's time for Lopez vs Caballero. <<< I want that fight.

The best weapon against a southpath is the right hand, he was injured, my take on Juanma he has big balls, the kid has no quitting in him, I can't wait for Gamboa vs Juanma. The old warrior show why he is a HOF, one handed almost ko a young hungry warrior, great fight, I'll not mind a second one.

I don't know. Marquez wasn't throwing the right hand in any of the early rounds either, so it makes sense that it was injured before the fight.

I'd like to see Marquez/Caballero. Marquez would twat him.

Hmmm maybe just for the payday but i highly doubt he will change the outcome. I will say he impressed me with hurting Lopez with that left hook. I thought it would be the right hand.

Let them do it and show wether it was the shoulder or not. I see it very hard for him to win but hey he showed up to fight not for a paycheck so let him have anothe crack at it.

You know it does make sense. I would have though it was the right hand he would be focused on but he rarely threw it.

Damn i think we need a rematch.

Yeah, exactly. The right hand has been a great weapon for Marquez and this was one fight where you'd really expect to see it, yet it was completely absent. Like the commentators said, the majority of Marquez's power shots were that left hook. He had no real punch variety, which is unlike him.

I think a rematch would be very interesting. If Lopez is going to have a fight in Puerto Rico and then fight Gamboa, I'd like to see Marquez face Caballero somewhere in between.

Marquez is a warrior though. Plenty of warriors have gone into the ring injured in the past and, whilst it's not always sensible, it happens. Look at Kessler, or example, or his last opponent Froch. Both guys have entered the ring with injuries and Froch does it almost every bout.
