I'm just switching over from Showtime.

Guerrero and Escobedo are entering the 9th round.

Guerrero is smacking Escobedo with hard combos, but Escobedo is landing a hard right hand for every few he takes. According to Lampley & co. it's been a pretty clear win for Guerrero up until now. Both have marks along their faces.

Guerrero has apparently knocked Escobedo down twice (and according to Lampley there was a third that was incorrectly ruled a slip).

I'll wait till Guerrero-Escobedo is over. I cant go from two fights like Casey-Hyland and Juanma-Marquez to that.

Lederman gave Escobedo the 9th but has it 88-81 Guerrero entering the 10th and final round.

Guerrero got knockdowns and 10-8 rounds in the 3rd and 6th.

Guerrero is using his right jab and some sharp lead lefts to keep Escobedo at bay. Escobedo keeps coming forward and throwing hard, straight shots but only has enough handspeed to land sporadically. Guerrero is taking a lot of leather glancing across his chest and upper arms as he turns his shoulders and moves continually. Guerrero isn't exactly on his bike but is trying to minimize damage, and not worrying about whether he's giving the round away to Escobedo's aggression (clearly aware of and comfortable with his lead).

That was a mistake. The last two rounds were fairly good action.

They're showing highlights now. It was pretty scrappy throughout, from the looks. Guerrero landed a sweet left uppercut in the 6th that dropped Escobedo.

    Guerrero isn't always unexciting.

Guerrero wins it wide, including a 100-88 card which the whole HBO team scoffs at (although they do think Guerrero won comfortably, just more in the vicinity of 97-91)

It was a good fight, very well deserved win for Robert. I think now that his wife is healthy, dude can finally fully commit to boxing. He's a real likable guy, and he fought a very entertaining fight for change.

He almost had Escobedo out of there a few times.. and he should have had 3 KD's, not 2.. Escobedo clearly fell over from being hurt.

You watched the whole thing, NT? When did you stop watching Marquez-Lopez (or did you at all)?
