What did you think about Referee Tony Week's tonight?

He's doing too much. We shouldn't even know he's there

 

Juanma shouldn't of had a point deducted it was his 1st time he hit behind the head and wasn't 'intentional' , Marquez was getting away with body shots after the break so it was abit harsh ... he did good apart from that

he's a little off.... he was cautioning juanma after landing combinations on marquez... i think it was in the 7th round.. i couldn't see any reason for it.. it definitely broke juanma's momentum

 

Terrible. If RM had a chance to win that fight it was taken away from him by Weeks stopping the action when RM had Juanman hurt. Inexcusable.

but I thought he did a pretty good job except that its illegal to forearm your opponent's head down to punch it and Weeks only warned about it 30 times

 

I thought that he did a very good job. Honestly, I think that he gave Lopez more leadway that he should have. Juanma was really getting dirty in there. Forearms and elbows to the back of the head, Punches to the back of the head... cuffing the back of his head.... pushing his head down repeatedly... holding and hitting... pushing the head down and punching to the kidneys. I was really surprised.

it was a good call by weeks. juanma was pushing the head of marquez down while punching marquez to the body. thats illegal and hes done it twice.

JML was on the verge of going down and Tony Weeks stopped it by buying him some time. That was the only chance Rafa ever had of winning the fight.
