Screw it, one of my favorite moments to see, and it's nowhere near as epic as Joe Namath or Messier(just something I thought was pretty awesome), was something Paul Pierce did in a game in the 2003 playoffs. He was having a monster 3rd quarter(he scored over 20 points in the quarter) and basically him and Al Harrington started jawing at each other with the clock winding down, he points and the ground and lets him know where he's going to shoot it from...and does it. It was awesome.

Give me some background on the Bute vs. Miranda one. I watched it and generally know, but build it up for me.

I was just being sarcastic. Miranda trying to downplay Bute's punches punches to the crowd only to be immediately knocked out was one of the worst self-ownages since Nate Campbell let Peden hit him. A call out gone completely awry.

Bute has developed into the best 168 lb. fighter on the planet.

That's good stuff. One of my favourite sports teams to watch of the past five years or so has been the Boston Celtics in the playoffs and I've grown to enjoy watching Paul Pierce as part of that team. He's a pressure performer of the highest calibre. Always wants the ball when the game is on the line. Thanks for the video.

It's one of those rare teams that you could pluck out of a past era, drop it in today's era, and it'd still be a force.

Ah, I thought so. I didn't remember Bute vs. Miranda fitting this profile.

Go to YouTube and look up, "The Messier Guarantee" or something of that variety. If that video gave you chills, this one will... just watch it.

The ref should of took a point away. All he did is say don't ask questions like that. In my book the ref completely lost control of the fight from the very start!!

Yes I was. It was unbeleivable....Gretzky, Messier, Kurri, Fuhr, Anderson, etc.

Although I was too young at the time to really appreciate that I was seeing probably the greatest team and dynasty ever in Hockey.

Funny enough, I think that's kind of how it was in Edmonton during the 80's, people got a little de-sensitized and started just expecting to win the Stanley Cup every year!

Would have been 5 cups in a row if Steve Smith didn't score on our own net in '86. Grrrrr.

no. Mark Messier was the BEST leader in sports of all time. He was the epitome of hockey.
