Big steps for Lopez, this was a good learning experience esp. becoming a star in boxing and attraction. Marquez is tough and I still feel he could beat a lot of other guys out there in this division. Lopez congrats.

Too much money out there for a rematch. Boxing is a business.

    Good fight. Props to Juanma.

Loved the way he almost got ko'd and comes back to win. That's how boxing stars are made.

All in JuanMas favor???? holy **** :rofl I think Lopez was rocked more multiple times then Marquez was even once. Marquez simply didnt have the gas in his tank at this stage to keep it up at that pace and became a stationary punching bag, and hey, being fed to the young champs is part of the sport so Lopez gets the W, but..... ALL in juanmas favor... lol. No bias there right?

And ya, it had to due with Marquez's power and athleteticism, not age, inactivity, fighting a bigger guy or having numerous career shortening wars under him

All kidding aside, I just hope that Juanma learns how to stay focus, not taunt, tie up and especially, dont trust in your power that much! . he always looks sharp in the 1st couple of rounds and then its bombs away with no defense. if he doesn't fix this, he's toast

As for Marquez, man can he take a punch! and he carried he's power to this weight.
I dont buy that **** that the shoulder was injured in training camp. You DONT enter a fight like this knowing you have a bad shoulder. Not buying it im sorry

The Boricua Beast made Rafa "No Mas" his way out of being KO'd. So far Juanma KO'd 3 types of Mexican fighters...Slick boxer (Steven Luevano) , Power puncher (Daniel Ponce de Leon)and a Legend (Rafael Marquez)...PR own this rivalry

Congrats to JuanMa and all his Boricua supporters!!!

I knew Lopez has going to be too much for the shop worn Marquez at 126. But Damm, Rafa took some serious shots and was still was able to stun Lopez. What a fight! I think a rematch would be a bad idea for Marquez. I think Marquez used up the last bit of gas he had left in the tank. He took many serious lefts.

I don't know about him coming into the fight with a bum shoulder, though he did look like he was having a hard time his arm up in that last round. But whatever, even with a good shoulder I don't think he would of been able to beat Lopez.

Well Mexico took out a legend in Calderon, and Puerto Rico just returned the favor. The saga continues....

Gamboa gots to be licking his chops, seeing how much the smaller Rafa was able to connect and rock JuanMa.
