Would you rather have Max Kellerman anchoring the boxing coverage at Sky....

...... than Adam Smith?

Smith has copped some criticism from various people on here (mainly me ) for things he's said, such as the closing question in the interview yesterday, ALWAYS treading the company line and that really pathetic ''excuse the language'' crap.

Max Kellerman isn't everyone's cup of tea *cough* Steve Bunce *cough* - but always offers his own opinions..... he'll criticise people publicly and back up his opinions..... but he's a bit geeky, sometimes excitable and he's American.

Who would you choose :think

i cant make my mind up on kellerman, sometimes he's really good but other times gets on my tits, be a much improvement on smith tho imho. he's the worst at sky in this present day :good

 

Kellermans voice drives me nuts. Its agood job thats its usually 3 in the morning when I hear it can I'm too drunk to lift anything up to throw through the TV.

Could you imagine Smith saying anything like Kellerman's rant about the WBA before the Gamboa fight?

 

The stand out last night was Tarver. By a mile.

i dont mind any of the americans over ours, i cant stand the british commentators.

 

I'm one of the few that actually likes Kellerman as a commentator. So yes, I prefer him to Smith.

 

Seconded. The guy does it with class too. As for Smith, he just reminds of a snooty schoolboy that I wanna deck.

Kellerman has his moments but that voice every fight night? No, no.

Bring back Paul Dempsey. The guy made mistakes occasionally but he knows his stuff. I remember he was hosting a fight one night and then he started talking about Ruben Olivares, nearly fell off my seat.

Plus he can control Bunce :good

 

What is Dempsey doing now?

I know the guy goes to the same hairdressers as Simon Cowell and he falls over the auto-cue occasionally but he did a great job with Sky in the 90s.

And he knows more about the sport than just Haye, Hatton, Froch and Khan.

 

Id rather eat my own earwax than listen to that punk ***** Kellerman.

Paul Dempsey is a good shout, also Tarver has impressed me so far with his commentary. Havent got anything against Adam Smith though, he does a decent job.

 

Kellerman sometimes sounds like a WWE commentator but his voice still isn't as annoying as Smith's.

Plus he doesn't call for a fighter to be pulled out every time the opponent dominates a round

I like Brian Kenny too..... think he's on a fair whack at ESPN.

For some reason in the States Lampley gets a lot of criticism, God know's why :think
