For those who are unaware, Nino lost a majority decision to a fighter with 20 losses last night. Touching the canvas in the first and the eighth rounds. Guy wasnt even ranked in the top 60 on boxrec.

I give you the new WBC lt.flyweight champion of the world.

Wow, I forgot Romero was fighting with Juanma-Marquez, Casey-Hyland etc on last night. I thought it was going to be a foregone conclusion anyways, either he's shot or really underestimated him.

A real champion trains hard for every opponent whether it be an elite fighter or not. Rocky.

It's crazy, he lost to the same journeyman who gave him his first loss years go.

doesnt shock me too much honestly around the flyweight divisions everyone can lose pretty much to everyone. Calderon vs Segura, Tamara lost to Lazarte etc i thought Casimero is a good deal but lost recently too.. some thai i´ve never heared of nearly beat Pongsaklek Rojas beat Kono and so on.. Romero got quite a gift against Mayol only everyone thought the freaky headbutter deserves no less..

at least he lasted the distance this time..

Baas won that ***** Rocky style. I just posted a comment on kirk's thread about this 15 minutes ago.

This has to be one of the biggest (non mainstream) upsets of the year.

Keb Baas is a tough muther****er, you can't take him for granted and expect to win.

Still, as a champ.. it's really bad loss.

Keb Baas is one of the veteran guys with many losses but he's got expereince and is much more competent than his record suggests. Almost seems like he's got Nino's number even though Nino has had a more successful career.

It's actually kind of a nice story and shows, along with Luis Lazarte, that sometimes persistence does pay off. Good for Keb-Bass, who proves once again that a mediocre record does not automatically make someone an easy out.

Congrats to guys like Bass, Saoul Mamby and the like.

    Sucks for Romero, though.

Proof that 20 losses mean nothing, it's the will to win that matters.

Nino is and has been overrated. He was lucky that he fought Mayol for the title cause he was never going to beat any of the other champions. he did hold a title though so he went farther than i ever expected.

Are you seriously trying to take credit away from a guys win, who had a 33-20 record going in?

    ****in newbs.
