It was Green's fault that he was hit on the back of the head, but he was up at the count of eight and seemed alert, I hate early stoppages. Also I'm liking Showtime's commenting but Jim Grey is awful, he tries to ask hard hitting questions but he comes off like a dick.
The name of the game is protect yourself at all times. The ***** Green kept ducking and leaning his head down, WTF was Glenn supposed to do? Not throw all night? **** Green! It was a clean KO. Back to ESPN2 for Green.... if they even let him on.
he was taking a lot of back of the head shots but i believe he initiated the shots. its like in Marg-Cintron when Kermit would duck and all that was there to hit was his head and every time Marg hit him the ref would warn him, you cant fault glenn or marg in those fights they were going to throw there punches regardless. If the other guy is turning or ducking his head to be hit there then i believe the blame is split between the two and not solely on the hitter.
Green shoulda got his ass up off the mat, instead of laying there trying to argue for a foul that the ref clearly wasn't going to call. If he truly was fine, he has no one to blame for him getting stopped other than his self.
Perhaps you could take your medication, I mean, I thought dude was getting in the back of the head, obviously you don't...Ok, no big deal. I wasn't aware of that being a provisional rule, as in if you duck, turn, etc that it was then OK to hit someone in the back of the head. Either way, I was pretty clear in giving Johnson credit, I just thought Green got hit in the back of the head multiple times during the fight, no more no less.
