Tokyo Douglas vs. Post Zaire Foreman

HE IS THE NUMBER 10 IN MY TOP 10 HW. I PUT HIM IN MY TOP 10 BECAUSE HE WAS GOOD IN HIS PRIME . BUT ACCORDING TO HIS CAREER HE DOESN´T DESERVE TOP 10. HE JUST DID BEAT BUMS AND AVERAGE BOXERS LIKE BERBICK, TOMMAS, MCNELEY, BRUNO, ZOUSKI, SELDON,TUCKER,TILLIS,SMITH,GREEN,OLD HOLMES AND A LHW SPINKS, HE LOST AGAINST AN ABSOLUTE BUM LIKE BUSTER DOUGLAS AND HE FACED JUST 2 GREAT HWs( HOLYFIELD AND LEWIS) AND HE LOST AGAINST BOTH. YOU CAN SAY " PRIME TYSON WOULD HAVE BEAT THEM" BUT IT NEVER HAPPENED. AND PERSONALLY I THINK THAT A PRIME HOLYFIELD 90-91 WOULD HAVE BEAT ANY VERSION OF TYSON.

He looked very strong leading up to the Tyson fight and was beating quality fighters, namely McCall and Berbick. He was also featured in the annual top ten Ring Ratings 3 of the previous four years.

Obviously the Tyson fight was his pinnacle, but he had very good fights outside of that herculean effort as well.

 

The whole never facing great thing with regards to Tyson is silly. He beat Larry Holmes who is more often than not in the top ten of all time.

What in shape, prime ATG HW did Marciano, Lewis, Holmes, or even Foreman ever beat? With Foreman it depends on how highly one rates the Frazier performance as Joe was overweight.

 

I'm doing a simulation of Douglas-Foreman on Title Bout Championship 2.5.

 

I seriously thing that Buster has a chance against post-Zaire Foreman. George was easy to hit, and Douglas had a great jab.

2_tyson never faced prime larry holmes, he did beat a shot holmes who was retired during 2 years and who was ready to lose before of the fight.larry holmes was better in 1992 than he was in 1988.
according to your stupid theory berbick did beat muhammad ali, then he is one of the greatest...
3_ george foreman did beat an undefeated 29 years old joe frazier(who is above than tyson in the history hands down)ken norton(who did beat ali),george chuvalo,goyo peralta(checks his record before to face foreman),in his 40s he did beat gerry cooney,michael moorer,bert cooper, he was stolen against briggs , morrison ran during all fight from a old man and george was competent against a prime holyfield. tyson could not finish the fight against a past prime evander.
4_ george is the oldest hw champ.
5_joe frazier weighed 214 pounds against foreman, he was still very good, foreman would have destroyed any frazier,because styles make fights, joe gave the hell to ali in 1975.

ron lyle and jimmy young couldn´t ko post zaire foreman. they both were better than douglas hands down and lyle was stronger and harder puncher, they both had better chin than douglas .so the people who did pick "douglas by ko" know **** on boxing

IMO Foreman would land a HAYMAKER uppercut like DOuglas did in Round 10 - BUT in teh 1st Round [+ way, Way Harder],, it lift Tyson off his feet And he KTFO. :deal
