Not many here dispute the stoppage, many here say Lewis got lucky cutting him with a half missed shot. Even a big Lewis fan like me recognizes that.

Maybe I missed the part where Hide finished the fight on his feet and raised his hands to the approving crowd? :think

-Vitali/Lewis was a 6 round war that the crowd didn't want to see stopped.
-Vitali/Hide was a 2 round blow out. And with all the knockdowns, Hide was certainly not up on the cards at the time of the stoppage
    .

Yeah, I can't see the difference.

Yes Hide won the event. He was up on all scorecards at the stoppage. He won the event, simple.

Did you also miss the part when Vitali's face was decimated by punches thrown by Lewis?

Brilliant. Sorriest threads since I've been here and just when I recommended ESB to my friend. This forum needs heavy moderating and one account/IP.

Advertisers must be thrilled to realize that the members are children without a dime in the pocket.. :-(

Hide was up on all the scorecards before something strange happened.

Klitschko himself admits he had no idea what happened yet he does not rematch him to this day.

    Coward.

A lucky punch by Lewis? So were there 3 lucky punched because Viatli's face had the worst eye I've ever seen, a completely f#cked up cheek and a red mouse coming in and out of his mouth. All from one punch? Hahahahahahaha, once again, you guys are idiots if you believe that

    jeez simpleton! :patsch
There has to be a punch TO OPEN THE CUT! It was a war in the ring between 2 huge punchers, so of course it became a huge tear!
It's all about that first clanching shot, where he opened the cut with what looks like his thump. For Lewis that was just plane luck, for Vitali just very unlucky and eventually lost him the fight. Why do people try to make this into a brilliant performance by Lewis?!? It was just about the same if Lewis missed the a puch entirely and graced him with his elbow. Just a lucky accident.
I was very relieved at the time that he won, beïng a Lewis fan and all, but if I see now how people make it into something of a masterfull tactical performance while beïng on a downward slope I actually wish he would have lost that night.
