Smothers his own work and a very good if not mind-blowing puncher, he'll get sparked early by Gamboa IMO.
Top-notch post on all accounts; except that I'd prefer to see John fight Gamboa :yep Caba Vs JuanMa has bad blood too, and all the makings of an bsolute war between two very interesting fighters.
I wouldnt go that far , Juanma and Gamboa have beaten very credible opponents in there last fights , Chris John is in a period of in activity , and what has Caballero done exactly to give people a hard on , yes he's tall rangey and awkward and holds good wins in the lower divisions but that really is all Caba has going for him , he's awful to watch and is dilusional on his ability !!!! Juanma vs Gamboa is a very very credible FW super fight IMHO , that doesnt mean i wouldnt like to see Caballero and John involved with these 2 at some point though :deal
All of those attributes are EXACTLY what Caba has going for him! He was. Solid super bantam, who like JuanMa, had a dodgy performance in his last few fights there (Mtagwa for JuanMa, Ndlovu, I think was his name, stoned as **** currently, for Caba, where he really didn't deserve the decision) but has a solid shutout win over the game but green Yordan, which is one more fight than JuanMa had at the weight when he faced title holder Luevano. JuanMa and Gamboa are currently part of a top four with no real no.1 (I got John@1 due to past conquests, his inactivity, constant injuries and illnesses, and two performances against Jaurez which showed some awesome ability against an Elite-level gatekeeper but also a terrible stamina problem) so Caba doesn't really have to 'deserve' a shot against a top four fighter. Remember the titles mean jack ****, this fight is wanted by fans and easy to promote, the eventual clash by two of these four will be the better for it if both have beaten the other two. John for Gamboa and Caba for JuanMa is the perfect solution. If JuanMa doesn't beat Caba or vice versa, then it shows it wasn't the top-two-P4P clash we all thought it would be. As it stands I think whenever Gamboa-JuanMa fight Yuriorkis will be all over Lopez before he knows what's happened. Not sold on him, Gamboa still has some honing to do of course, but as they both stand eclipses JuanMa in terms of ability, though JuanMa is building the more impressive ledger.
Chris John is currently the top man in the featherweight division, and has been ruling at that weight for years now. To claim to be top of the division without fighting the main man, is criminal. Caballero was the same in Super Bantam, widely recognized as the top man. Lopez picked up a title and fought top 5 and top 10 fighters but never looked to face him. If Caballero was a soft touch wouldn't you think he would have unified against him and solidified his position.

Not a chance ....Gamboa is wide open with a low defence .. Juanmas jab will land at will and will catch Gamboa with combinations ! ... Juanma by KO 4th round....
Once John fights his mandatory, he's meant to be getting it on with Gamboa. With Rafa out for 6 months with a hairline fracture, Juanma can't have a rematch. The only other big fight for him is Caballero. I'd love to see it going down in Puerto Rico.
