And yet it was a half missed shot from Lewis. He tried to hit him in the face, missed and cut his eye open with probably his thumb. How is that not a lucky accident? If the shot just hit Vitali (like so many that bout) probaly nothing would have happened, if he missed completely nothing would have happened. The fight would still have been a brawl without the cut and noone knows who would have won eventually. Only it did happen and Lewis won the fight because of it, beïng more on the receiving end at that moment. Lewis recognized he got lucky and promised Vitali a rematch, wich never came because Lewis was on the decline and Vitali nearing his prime and Lewis knew that. Lewis retired, and now has gotten exactly what he was hoping for, an Ali treathment.
He did: "Thursday, 31 July 2003: Lennox Lewis says his proposed re-match against Vitali Klitschko is likely to be his last defence of his world title. Negotiations for the rematch are already under way and the fight could take place on 6 December." http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...tire-after-rematch-with-klitschko-588533.html
LL only “promised” under duress by the maniac Vitali who was threatening to assault him after the bout.

Hahahahahahaha, once again, you guys are idiots if you believe that jeez simpleton! There has to be a punch TO OPEN THE CUT! It was a war in the ring between 2 huge punchers, so of course it became a huge tear! It's all about that first clanching shot, where he opened the cut with what looks like his thump. For Lewis that was just plane luck, for Vitali just very unlucky and eventually lost him the fight. Why do people try to make this into a brilliant performance by Lewis?!? It was just about the same if Lewis missed the a puch entirely and graced him with his elbow. Just a lucky accident. I was very relieved at the time that he won, beïng a Lewis fan and all, but if I see now how people make it into something of a masterfull tactical performance while beïng on a downward slope I actually wish he would have lost that night. And I'M a simpleton? Hahahhahah These are two guys in a boxing match, there was no lucky accident of a punch hahahaahha u r ******ed for sure. Lewis was starting to beat this man's brains in. If you notice, towards the end of the fight, Lewis was no longer even concerned with Vitali's power because he throws arm punches so Lewis just started to walk right through Vitali's shots. He was busting him up REAL bad. And you have to know that if a tired, out of shape Lewis STILL beat a prime Vitali, what would a prime in shape Lewis do to him? See Lewis-Grant for example. Hhahahahaah I swear, the IQ level on this site is Forrest Gumpish
