Antwun Echols was the better fighter. He mixed in better company, and had better ability. If he hadn't run into the greatest middleweight champion of the era, he could easily have won a world title. What the **** does his debut have to do with it though?! Juan Manuel Marquez and Bernard Hopkins lost their debut fights. Is Mario Veit better than them too??? atsch (Wilfredo Vazquez was another great fighter who lost his debut, but I know a fanboy troll like you wouldn't know who he is) :good
Yep, that fast. I was watching abit of him on another tab and he reminds me abit of Holyfield. I've seen some his fights and rooted for him against Abregu so I'll just root for him 4 life.
As did Rafael Marquez, Alexis Arguello, Henry Armstrong, Pipino Cuevas and Ricardo Mayorga, they are probably not on Veit's level either.
I always liked his style and willpower but I can't not be a fan his fan anymore. He likes they Cowboys & Lakers like I do too? I'm a fan. I'm also a fan of other guys in his division such as Khan, Alexander, & Kotelnik.
veit was clearly. he got embarassed by calzaghe, but if i recall correctly he never lost to a **** fighter did he not? both, tbh are ****. i you get stopped in one round of joe calzaghe, then get stopped in the rematch, something is wrong.
Same, plus Maidana and Ortiz. Not really much of a Khan fan but that's probably because I like most of the other guys around him more.
I'm not a fan of Maidana & Ortiz but I do love their fight against each other. I just became more of a fan of Devon for admitting that he made the Kotelnik fight tough which is true. Some other champions would say something like, "I won clearly it was easy" but I'm glad Devon told the truth.
Without trying to get too deep into it I actually became a fan of Ortiz after the Maidana fight. Also Alexander after the Kotelnik(like you), I thought he was a bit overhyped before, but thought he got a lot of unwarrented hate after and started supporting him a bit since.
Even the most hardcore of boxing fans won't lose to much sleep thinkin about the careers of Echols and Veit. Id rather not waste time getting into a debate on these 2. To sum it up briefly, both were out of their depth at world level.
