Margarito KO's Manny. Manny hasn't got the big physique or hit and hold style, so when he bounces in, lands his shots, he will take a couple on the way out. It will only take one big shot to the liver/ribs to end it. Floyd will then take on Margorito, saying he's fightiong the guy that beat the guy. Floyd on the other hand has a perfect style to beat Margo. Beat him to the punch, then hold. Repeat this over and over again till fight is over ot Margo is KO'd. Then even though i believe Manny would beat floyd, we'll never know, and floyd will go down as the guy that beat the guy who beat the guy. And everyone will love him. and he won't have to fight manny. Question is. What is the liklihood of this scenario?
Good points , but no . Margarito punches slow and wide so Manny will either hold in close or be out of range. Margarito in his last fight couldnt break an egg and has been shown to be exactly what he is a slow wide slugger. Manny in great fashion around 10. Floyd will definately fight Manny in the summer of next year in the biggest fight in boxing history.
another scenario i'm thinking is pac wins it in a brutal war. accumulated some damage and floyd suddenly got the urge to fight him. now pac has lost a lot of his mileage and floyd will now cruise to an easy points win over a depleted pac who has shown wear and tear already.
or manny scores a knockdown early and margarito is as meek as a lamb for the rest of the fight. thats what happened to cotto. margarito could win though. margarito is heavy handed. pacquiao's sparring partner seemed traumatized by margarito's power. let's not forget that tony wears big gloves when sparring so the hand wraps wouldnt help too much.
Favourite fighters are people that aren't afraid to lose, and prepared to take challenges. (Marquez, Cotto, Froch as 3 examples) I liked Floyd in his early days when he called out anyone and everyone. So no. Not a *******. I just prefer his attitude to floyd of the last 5 years.
i completely agree with you. however, when have u seen pacquiao get on his bike? there will probably be a lot of exchanges and margo will have the opportunity to land some of his shots too. lets see how manny handles them. furthermore, i dont recall ever seeing manny in the ring against a pure, relentless pressure fighter. i want to see how he reacts to that too. manny has to avoid the ropes at all costs...
i think it depends on who shows up. I definetly think it will be a better Margo than the one in his last 2 fights. As he is a lot more focused, and training harder.. But i don't think it will be the Margo of old who beat Cintron, Martinez, Cotto, Clottey.
yes it will be an interesting fight, but because of the speed pac will beat him to the punch 9/10, lets say pacquiao doesnt hurt him so margarito keeps coming foreward, pacquiao also has a good chin so i dont see him going down since margarito is more of a breakyoudown kind of fighter then one punch ko artist, so i think pacquiao will get 5 of the first 6 round last 6 will be competitive if margarito is able to neutralize pacquiao. therefore i think pacquiao will win a 8-4 decision something like that.
On the 2nd part of my question. How to people rate Floyds chances against Margo? I think floyd takes this one, as he's a lot better on the back foot, and can hit and hold all day agains Margo, to an easy victory. He won't be stupig enough to brawl with him, like manny might.
