Does Pacquiao even know what he's saying?

I was just watching a Pacquiao interview on TV, as part of the build up for the Margarito fight. Saw it on the news.

He came out with:

"Bob Arum has sent Mayweather a contract today to sign. He hasn't signed it. I hope that he signs it, for the fans"

And then it went on to say:

"Mayweather has not signed the contract today. We will pursue other options".

You know, are you trying to tell me, with no new negotiations, or concessions, no talks, no nothing, in the middle of trying to sell the Margarito fight, Arum has drawn up a legit Mayweather contract, expecting it to be signed in 24 hours?

It's like, whenever Pacquiao gets a microphone in front of his face, he feels pressure into saying some BS about the situation.

Like the "I agreed to everything". Then 6 months later his manager tells us that both sides are still stalling on drug testing, and that's why the second talks never went anywhere.

This Pacquiao/Mayweather saga is actually pretty simple. A bit of a dispute over testing.

The only confusion is the fact that Pacquiao just can't admit to his fans that he's partially responsible for no deal being made.

I agree.

The problem is, this just isn't believable. It's getting less and less believable.

 

I just mean, anyone with a brain realizes that boxing deals don't happen by one promoter e-mailing a boxer a contract, and asking him to sign it?

Pacquiao may as well just tattoo "I talk Bull ****" on his forehead.

The problem is, your average South East Asian, just don't know much about how the sport works. So he can say what he wants to them

I'm not being racist. I live in Singapore. They LOVE Pacquiao, but haven't got a freaking clue what boxing even is.

I think they think he's an actor or singer or something!?

As in, if you don't even know that Xyloclaine is 100% illegal to box with in Nevada, and only legal to train with, I have no idea why you're even on a boxing board
