The Martinez-Williams 119-110 card is the worst I've seen.

Recently, the Parra-Arce card had a horrible one. I thought Parra cruised to a decision. Arce came on in a couple of rounds late, but barely did anything but stalk forward and miss punches for about 6 or 7 rounds. Anyway, when they announced it was a draw, they didn't even announce what the scores were. I suspect that it's because the scorecards were SO out of whack that they didn't want to risk anything. Like a month later, they finally released the scorecards, and one of them was 98-93 Arce, which is truly disgusting. The other funny thing that makes me question the veracity of the judging is that all three judges managed to somehow score at least two even rounds in that one.

Bill, I came in the other night after about 10 pints of Becks & put this fight in & as you know i'am not that big a fan of Leonard but as i had'nt watched this fight since 10+ years back i'd thought i'd give it another go & i must admit with all due humble apology that i thought Leonard pissed it:scaredas:

I watched it this time with a total clear malice free happy countenance & there's no getting away from it that Leonard won clearly much to my disgust & angst......118-112.......where in the past i'd be willing Hagler on this time i just sat & watched while counting out a good days bizz £££££ so my focus was'nt employed in the personalities & i just watched the fight as if it was Joe Bloggs v Joe Soap......

    Hagler-Leonard

    1) - 10/10, (2) - 9/10, (3) - 10/10, (4) - 9/10, (5) - 9/10, (6) - 9/10

    7) - 9/10, (8) - 10/9, (9) - 10/9, (10) -9/10, (11) -9/10, (12) -9/10

Leonard pinched the rounds onto of the rounds that Marvin handed to him on a plate.......I just wish that Hagler had come into the ring with a totally different mindset & employed a more jovial counternance at the weigh-in instead of the scowl as this may have thrown Leonard a bit & not pussied around in the 1st 4 rounds. Leonard new how to steal those rounds & Hagler has no one to blame but himself & i'am a massive Hagler fan but i have not one ounce of sympathy for him in this fight. I'am prepared to take some stick over this as in the past i've slagged the judge over that 118/110 but i can see where he was coming from so i'll issue a **** off in advance to all & any detractors who want to pile into my volte-face:D

Judge Adalaide Byrds ridiculous 114-113 score for Hopkins when he clearly lost to Calzaghe, luckily put right by the other 2 judges scores of 112-115 & 111-116.

The other fight where the decision went the wrong way in my opinion was Jo Jo Dans fight with S Aydin, where Dan wasnt given the decision

Magic Man was robbed clearly vs Diaz. Williams clearly didn't dominate Martinez. ODLH clearly didn't deserve a SD with Floyd but it wasn't as bad as those other two.

I wouldnt call any of the cards in that fight worse than the judge in the Mijares-Navarro fight or Williams-Martinez. Yes, Whitaker was robbed, but that was because two judges scored it even. Giving Navarro a 120-108 card when he clearly lost was unreal, thankfully put right by the other judges.

How do you guys think it all happens?

Is it because these guys are bought, incompetent as f#ck, fans of one of the fighters (just look in some RBR threads here how off the scores of some fans are) or influenced by the crowd??? :huh
I mean, if I explain my old mother the rules, she probably would come up with a better score than some of the judges.

    /thread.

That was the most digusting robbery i've ever witnessed, with a close second being Chagaev-SNV. :fire

Those corrupt Capitalist-Pigdog judges from both fights should burn in hell for their crimes against SNV & the glorious Motherland.

How a judge can be influenced by the crowd is beyond me. They are ringside yet are supposedly influenced by people screaming a couple of hundred rows back?

It influences the judges when a volume punchers fights a counter puncher i think, alexander kotelnik is the perfect example with the homecrowd behind him.
