I agree.. Roach talks smack on a daily basis, and has been contradicting himself in recent weeks. The minute Margarito and Rios get personal, everyone calls foul.

I find it ironic that when we're dealing with the sport of Boxing so many of you are extremely sensitive. Some of you are worse than teary housewives who are up in arms about every small issue that's no different than what exists in tabloid magazines. Listen, if this situation was outside the world of extreme sports I would be the first one to call out Team Marg for being complete twats. But for crying out loud, grow some thicker skin, will ya? Roach was the first instigator. It was he who couldn't stop talking **** about the handwrap issue. If he's going to dish out some heat then he should be ready to take some in return. If he can't take it then don't open his mouth. Simple as that.

If Roach had said things equally as bad, then I'd say "fine". If you're going to be a classless *****, then you can't moan when it gets thrown back at you. However, even though Roach is a bit over the top, he doesn't say things like this. Sure, he'll be overconfident or whatever, but the things he says aren't bad.

Roach just hypes the fights. There's a difference between that and being classless. What Margarito and Rios did, was classless.

Roach has been running to the media saying all kinds of crap as if it were gospel. Telling anyone that would listen that Barrera tried to load his gloves ahead of his rematch with Manny Pacquiao, and yet he didn't take steps to have anything done about it? He calls professional fighters bums on a regular basis, fighters who are infinitely more talented than he ever was during his fighting years.

This doesn't justify anything that happens in the video, but it makes it hard for me to sympathize with Roach.

Could be wrong about this, but didn't Margarito's younger brother die just before he turned pro? If so, seriously, if we had a video of Roach with a picture of Margo's brother, taking a **** on it, asking "HEY ANTONIO, HOW'S YOUR DEAD BROTHER?" would that be ok with you?

 

Freddie has enough influence on Pacquiao that if he discouraged manny from takining the fight enough they may have reconsidered...either way that is totally irrelevent. bottom line is Margarito and Rios behaved disgustingly. I actually cant recall any other fighters coming close to that kind of low. It made Mayweathers "racist" rant look like it came out of a childrens book.
